Joey tries to grab Lancet's weapons with her claws, but he manages to dodge them, jumping on top of the claws before performing a flip off of them and landing on his feet. Sylvia casts a Flame Pillar and it hits, but it seems Lancet isn't too affected by the attack. He must have high resistance. Sylvia then calls for help from the guards. "You idiots."

"Lord Lancet, what was that scream?" What appears to be a dancer runs in and he seems quite worried.

"You would dare to attack him!? These filthy monsters!" The woman with him looks like a Red Mage, but...is that what she actually is?

"My loyal retainers! We must dispatch of these adventurers immediately."

"But of course! Our job is to protect you!"

"I will erase you all!" A dark aura floats around them as well. Don't tell me they're being recognized as Dark Lords too!?

"This is backfiring tremendously! We have to hurry and finish this!"

"Ayka, dear, please deal with that mage, if you would. He seems a little too...bossy."

"Anything for you, Rafon." She approaches quickly and both Tren and her match each others' spells, blocking and attacking nearly equally. Rafon heads over to distract Rumbles, dodging his hammer and retaliating with slashes of his sword. Balynka stays back and watches. Paul fuses fire into his sword and charges toward Lancet, attacking. Bane shoots at Lancet's feet as well to damage him, but he seems calm despite the pain.

"Watch the true power of the Tome of Light!" He casts a powerful spell from the book, fully healing his wounds. This could be problematic...

Balynka: "I can get the book if I make it to him...

Can anyone cover me? For real this time!"

Balynka will use Crushing Blow, not to damage her opponent, but to overpower him so she can take the book.

Balynka: "Why can't they talk before attacking anyway? It's not like I'm a hero like you guys..."

"You can't be serious. How many Dark Lords are in this town?!?"
Sylvia helps Aven by casting Flame Pillar on Ayka.

Joey throws some spoiled milk at Lancet but he holds the book up in the air so it doesn't get wet. He then notices Balynka running towards him. "Rafon!" He throws the book up in the air as the dancer abandones his position of battling Rumbles and leaps up in the air to grab the book. Bane and Balynka both attack him at once. When Lancet tries to block with his rapier, he's overpowered. Sylvia and Tren stay busy with Ayka as he blocks her attacks with his own magic. Sylvia lands a Flame Pillar on her, but Ayka seems to keep on fighting. One attack won't stop her. Rumbles runs over to grab the book from Rafon, but the dancer gracefully jumps on his head and casts a spell from the book in the air, fully healing his allies. Paul seems to have tried casting something, but it fizzles out and just creates a small puff of steam.

(You guys won't get the weapon without the use of a Steal or Disarm ability. You'll have to find a different way to keep them from casting spells.)

Sylvia continues fighting Ayka.
"You know, I highly doubt you care, but you do realize he's a Dark Lord, right? That's what that shadowy aura around you three means."

Hmm so the son of an arcsage is actually a dark lord kinda ironic.

Alas let's try a this combination dual cast thunder blast and fireball
