"They live close to here."
Vince seems slightly uneasy as the dragon tribe is brought up. "I think I'll go make sure Kardus isn't doing anything stupid."
"They're a tribe of proud warriors. It's strange that they would attack Rainfall though...we were strong allies..."

Lupis thinks for a moment. "Perhaps either they or Rainfall have a Dark Lord manipulating someone in power."

"You think my father is being controlled...? That's terrible..." "It's hard to say. If it helps, the Dragon Tribe could also be the ones being controlled while your father really is just stressed, or I could be completely wrong and the Dark Lords have nothing to do with this. Either way, we need to get to the bottom of this. Randomly guessing will get us nowhere."

"Alright, Lupis. I think we're all ready to head out soon. Whenever you're ready, just give the signal."

"Alright then, let's go." Lupis leads the group.

The group gets up and ready to head out. "So, Lupis, what's our next course of action? Should we talk to the king?"
"..." Layor seems slightly uncomfortable.
"..." Vince is also looking like he's got some discomfort going on too.
"Maybe we should split up. Have some of us check out the dragon tribe and the others check up on the king."
"That could be dangerous though. Splitting up means smaller groups."

(Question: if we do split up for now, will the difficulty be lowered until we join back up to compensate for the smaller parties?)

(Basically you have to choose if you want to fight The Puppetmaster or Shadow Dragon. It also decides who was being controlled the whole time. Hooray player decisions affecting story.)

(Wouldn't splitting up mean fighting both?)

(Wouldn't splitting up mean fighting both?) (Yeah, it would. I mean, it would be incredibly difficult, but it would make the plot work out fairly interestingly. I also will probably throw in a nice gift for clearing both bosses under difficult circumstances.)

"Splitting up means two duos...
I'm not afraid of a challenge, but if things go south, we'll only be two instead of four.
While me might save some time, the risks will be extremely high.
So what's more important? Safety or time?"

You'll actually have two teams of three. Lupis, Yura, Vince, Yzza, Kardus, and Layor.

"I think it would be safer to stick together. If there really is a Dark Lord involved we'll want everyone together to stand the best chance. Still, which place should we check first?" Please don't make me pick, I'm horrible at making decisions. On another note, wouldn't it be one team of three and one team of four? Don't forget Tiamat.
