You find yourself standing on a catapult, ready to get launched into a forest full of monsters. How exactly did this happen? Well, your first mistake was enrolling at Beacon. This is going to be your initiation test. You will be graded and your teams will be assigned this way.
"Welcome to the Emerald Forest. Today you will all be tested. We're going to send all of you down into the forest to find and retrieve a relic. While you're in the forest, you will have to partner up. The first person you make eye contact with will be your partner for the duration of this test and will be in your team for all four years you spend here. Good luck, and remember that there will be many Grimm down there. Don't hesitate to kill any to get in your way. That is all. ACTIVATE THE CATAPULTS, PROFESSOR WISOM!"
You hear something click below you before the catapult suddenly launches you into the sky toward the forest! Wait...they...didn't give you a parachute. They didn't give you ANYTHING! How exactly are you going to not die by hitting the ground...?

Tenné will simply create her jetpack and hover down. Easy!
Mikado will send out some spheres of energy with the scepter and manipulate it into a shield around his body for the rough landing.

Try to catch branches with her whip. If she can't, she'll use her light manipulation to levitate.

Feld brings out his rifle he tries to stick the bayonet into a tree to slow his descent.
" This is so awesome!"
Razz will use her magic sword to create a platform to stand on. Then, she will make more platforms and step down on them.

Kítrino is clearly having the time of his life, forming a shield from electrons in the air and using it to spread out the impact force from his fall, and if he lands on a hill he will slide down it on the shield like a sled.

Tenne creates her jetpack and floats down slowly, watching the others.
Mikado is covered in a light as he falls toward the ground, followed by a loud thud and rocks flying up in the air from crashing into the ground. He seems to have lessened most of the blow and gets up with the energy scattering.
Wu activates his semblance to land on the side of a tree, crashing into it. It seems the force of being launched was still quite a bit. The tree he crashed into falls over with him in it, but he appears to be okay, just a little weakened.
Darcy uses her whip to latch onto a tree and swing around it before landing safely on the ground.
Feld jabs his weapon into a tree and stops himself from moving. Now he's stuck up in a tree, dangling from his rifle.
Razz simply crashes right into the ground. She's heavily damaged, but managed to survive. She seems to have made a loud thud as well.
Fenrir uses his chains to swing along the trees before landing safely and darting off into the forest.
"Oh, my! What an exciting way to start!" Spearah shoots a missile into a nearby tree, using the explosion to propel her toward a lake, where she safely falls into the water and turning it gold.
Violetta laughs before taking out her broom and flying around on it. She stands on it and starts to quickly move through the forest, surfing past trees.
Orus does a flip before activating his semblance and creating a powerful gust of wind to slow him down before landing on his feet. "Simple." He then runs off through the forest.
Kitrino creates a shield to stand on, smashing through trees while riding on it until coming to a stop on the ground. Nice.
It looks like everyone but Tenne doesn't know where the others are and are scattered around. It seems some people haven't landed yet either.

Feld will climb down the tree, using his rifle to make sure he doesn't fall, and using branches to help him get down.
Razz will laugh. Then, she will call out everybody's name (With the added San). She will also keep her eyes peeled for monsters.
