Lyon answers the door with a grim expression, but his expression instantly softens and melts into a wide, relieved smile upon seeing Ava. He gives her a quick hug and kiss, then brings her inside. Alfonzo is already diligently working on dinner in the kitchen.
Lyon leads Ava over to the nearest sofa, and sits down next to her. "My father had a heart attack yesterday," he begins with a sigh. "It's... not looking good. I've spent all day today on the phone with my family lawyers, mother, and siblings, sorting out my father's affairs and making sure the estate is in order. And... Preparing for the possibility of succeeding him as the next Duke."

The girl smiles and hands you a piece of paper with a phone number on it. "Here, this is my phone number. My name's Alice. I help tutor a lot of kids here. Whenever you need help with something, you can just call me. I'm sorry, but right now, I'm a little busy with something, but you can usually find me here, in the library, after school." She then heads off, walking rather quickly.

Tab and Karl
Tab meets with Karl and Laura over at Laura's house. She lets Tab inside and seems happy to see him. "Hey, what's up, Tab? Are you here to help me with my cooking some more?"
Lyon
"Lyon, that's..." Avalon pauses for a moment, uncertain what to say. She then holds him in a warm hug. "I'm so sorry this is all happening. But promise me that if there's ever anything I can do, you will ask me to help. You shouldn't have to deal with all of this by yourself..."

Tab shrugs and mostly ignores Karl. "Sure. It wouldn't kill me to help you cook. Er... maybe it would, but... W-While we're at it, I did need to drop by and ask something. I know it's out of the blue, but your father was a scientist, correct? Does the name of this scientist ring any bells to you?" Tab tells Laura the name of Mattea's missing father, but doesn't mention anything about Mattea. "He's been missing for a while and I believe he might have some connection to our case."

"Just typical occult stuff. Portals to demon worlds and all that, you know? Anyway, thanks for the info." Buttons begins walking off. You hear him thinking to himself. "An arena in the subway...I better tell Somnis to meet me there..."
Jimmy looks over at Tai. "He was acting weird. Uh...Should we do something? He said he was going to meet someone at the subway I think..."
Tab and Karl
"You...How did...?" Laura's face suddenly becomes much more serious. "Tab...I..." She looks at both Tab and Karl. She shakes her head. It looks like she's frustrated with something, but with what, you can't quite tell. "Get out. Both of you get out of here now."

You eventually follow Buttons to the subway. He waits around down there for a while. It seems like he isn't leaving anytime soon. He must be looking into that arena portal thing...
