Karl gives Jimmy the pop tart and Jimmy just sort of slinks away in terror. Karl can hear the conversations nearby.

Tab and Morgan sit down with Laura and Tom at the table. Julia sits nearby, reading her book. Tom looks over at Morgan. "Hey."
Laura greets her as well. "Hello. Weren't you that girl that was late to class today? Nice to meet you. I'm Laura. So as I was saying, what if we tested out this weird rumor thing to see if it's actually true?"
"Ehh...I dunno."
"It could be fun. I could invite everyone to come stay at my house."
"I guess I can. Whatever it takes to make everyone shut up about the rumors."
"What about you two?"

"Don't worry, Morgan, I can show you the way to my house and you can stay there with us until midnight."
When Julia looks up from her book, Tom turns his head slightly to answer her. "There are rumors that at midnight, strange portals open up around town and you will see your one true love in another world if you walk through."

Karl sees a group of people talking about staying up until midnight for the other world. He approaches them.
" I'm staying up until midnight to celebrate the release of the new raspberry pop tarts, so I can join you guys."
He sits in the middle of all of them, and stares at everyone. He doesn't blink and eats his pop tarts extremely slowly.
