After waiting a while, Avalon eventually appears in the entrance hall with Alfonse and waves to Lyon. "Hey, do you think maybe we could go to the garden together? I...want to give you something." She seems a little nervous.
Tai
"Sure. Let's go." The two of you head off to the library and search around for demon related books. "...Hmm. I'm not sure if I'm really feeling it today..." Buttons sighs and takes a seat.
Karl
"Oh, sure. So let's see...eggs and...hm. What else? We have to add something for flavor. Oh, how about coffee beans? And we can mix it with hot sauce to give it a bit of a kick."
Julia
You get a text back from Tom. "Alright, I'll text everyone that we're meeting tonight. Is your house alright?"
Morgan
"Sure, let's g-" Morgan's phone rings and she checks it, seeing a text from Tom. Apparently the investigation team is meeting up tonight.
Investigation Team
Tom texts everyone, telling them that there's a meeting tonight.

Lyon nods, smiling. "I was going to suggest the garden myself."
Curious about what she meant, Lyon walks with her out into the back garden. They sit down together in the covered gazebo near the pond. "Is everything alright?" He asks, noticing her nervousness.

Avalon smiles a bit. "Well, I think so. It should be okay, I think...I mean..." She stands. "Lyon, I'd like to sing you something. I...I've been preparing this for a while now. It's that song I've spent so much time writing. So...here it goes..." She takes in a couple deep breaths.
Avalon begins to sing a song for Lyon. It's about a dragon and a singing maiden that fall in love together. It's really beautiful and seems like it was perfectly crafted for Avalon's voice.
Once she finishes her song, she looks at Lyon and takes in another deep breath. "Lyon...I've been recently thinking a lot about you. I've been thinking about how I feel when I'm around you and how important you are to me. It feels like you've done a lot for me in my life and...and I think that there's something special there. Whenever I'm around you, it feels...like there's someone there for me. What I'm trying to say is...you're special to me. You're someone I...I want to spend more time with and...I want to be closer to you." She breathes in deeply. "Lyon, I'm asking you out. I really like you. So...do you feel the same way?"

You tell Laura that her idea is a great one. "Awesome! I'll get cooking right away!" She heads into the kitchen and you feel like you've made a terrible decision.
About an hour later, Laura comes out of the kitchen, holding what looks like a bowl of...purple goo. "The omelet came out a little wet, so I put it in a bowl for you! Here you go, it's special just for you. I wanna see your face when you eat it and taste all the deliciousness I've prepared for you!" She hands Karl the bowl and watches him expectantly. This...whatever this is is not an omelet. This is some sort of unholy creation. You begin to fear for your life as you look into it. And the smell...
Are you really going to eat this?

Buttons is quiet for a moment. "...Well, maybe. It's just...I dunno. Someone was asking me questions the other day. So I ran from them. I'm...not very good about talking about myself." You notice his way of speaking is different. He's no longer acting edgy and carefree. His voice is softer and you can sense some sadness in it.

Tai stops looking, and takes a chair next to Buttons. He stares at him.
"Hey, don't worry about it. Not everyone is. I'm... not much better at talking about myself, but it's okay. Some people just aren't open books. But usually, those people, like you, have the more interesting stories. Maybe running away was a bit... extreme, but it's your fucking life, so live it as you please."
He takes a breath, and looks down.
