That's actually correct. Duplighost is a less common species found in the Mario games, but they can transform into their enemies. Mario usually fights them, but he's never had one as a partner before. You can be one if you want. They look like this, but I suggest you add something to it that makes your character special and different in some way.  |

so, might as well use both of my mario RPG characters
Name: Swor.T
Species: Toad
Basic Attack: -Horizontal Slash -Rising Slash(a basic attack that can only attack air-born enemies)
Appearance: a blue toad wearing some basic Light armor
Backstory: Once a member of the Peach's Guard, Swor.t ended up getting lost after one of Bowser's attacks on the castle, he found himself in another land where he learned the ways of the Sword, he came back to toad town to re-join the guard, as for reason for being in the adventure, he wanted to prove that he is stronger then he used to be
Name: Bruno
Species: Hooski
Basic Attack: -punch, -Manly Beef(a Punch to the ground that damages all Ground based enemies withing a Straight line of Bruno)
Appearance: A Beefy hooski(like the massif bros) with a orange vest, and some Brown....pants???
Backstory: a Hooski Tourist, he gets caught up in the events by pure chance...thats about it

Second all original characters Yoshis
Name: Roxxane
Species: Human (basically whatever you would consider Mario, Luigi, and Peach)
Basic Attack:
Spell shot: Simple spell she uses to attack long distant foes and airborne foes.
Staff strike: Strikes foe for close combats.
Appearance: Height wise around Peach. Wears a light teal athletic suit.(Basically what Peach or Rosalina would wear in Mario golf or tennis). Has long golden blonde hair. Carries around what looks like a wodden staff used by mages.
Backstory: Could be the distant relative of a certain Mushroom Kingdom royalty? (Pending Just's approval). Other then that basically on a journey for thrills and adventires. Has a hard time contains her self around cute things and can be a bit too friendly at times.

Basic Attack: Shift, Kick.
Appearance: Like a regular Duplighost, but the sheet is straight and the hair part is purple instead of red. Also, he has a more neutral expression.
Backstory: As a shapeshifter, he is dissapointed that his pranks are always spotted before they come to fruition. By getting out of Toad Town, he can finally do something satisfying!

I only vaguely remember something like this game before.

Appearance: Orange with a dark blue underbelly and wings, and purple shoes.
Backstory: An oblivious, lonely child of Toad Town. He would normally decline a dangerous journey like this, but if there's even a faint chance that he could make new friends through this...
Name: Gobokeh
Species: Mr. I
Basic Attack: Laser, Rollout
Appearance: A floating Mr. I, with a pinkish red pupil and wearing a brown fedora with a pencil and a camera strapped around his... eye.
Backstory: Those lousy Lakitu Bros! They think they can just pull off decade-long hiatuses off the network like this?! Sure, they report on the trivial things like golfing and kart racing once in a while, but people crave REAL action! And ever since Gobokeh's intense studies of those legendary broadcasts on Mario the news phenomenon, he intends on delivering that action straight to the TVs and newspapers of every resident in the Mushroom Kingdom and beyond, even if it means taking a few bumps! Maybe even get famous and rich... Hmm...
