Waddle Doo quickly notices Spearah just standing around doing nothing, creating two more orbs and sending the four of them into her, launching her out of the battle. Tyro then hits him, reducing his physical defense significantly. He then jumps to the side, to avoid the two axes crashing into Waddle Doo, eliminating him, then being launched into Ratatta to finish the fight. Waddle Doo and Ratatta are both sent flying.

I should probably select some dust to bring with me. Spearah will keep using the ice phials and take some ice missiles for her rocket launcher. Fenrir will take fire rounds for his wolf fang blasters and a gravity phial.

---STAGE 2: VS Alpha Hellhound, Slasher_Necromorph and Random---
The party appears in some kind of ship hangar, which is pretty empty. There's a ship under repair in the arena. There's many platforms, but they are not connected, being separated by where other ships would land. There's some elevators to go down there though... Or come back up if you survive a fall. There's also some vents conduits here and there.
Your enemies seem to be some big red dog with a fire collar, a creature with spear-like apendages and a polygon fighter.
Alpha Hellhound: *growls*
Slasher_Necromorph: "..."
Random: "Transformation activate!"
The polygon fighter takes the shape of King Goomba.
Random: "Transformation complete!"
M: "3...
2...
1...
FIGHT!"
Slasher_Necromorph immediately jumps inside a vent.

We're going to have to take that hellhound down before it summons allies and buffs everyone.
Fenrir will toss one of his chain blasters to Spearah as they charge forward. Slide under incoming attacks with the chain stretched out to trip Hellhound and Goomba King. Next up, Fenrir will shoot his other chain into King Goomba while launching Spearah at the Hellhound. Go for a full power double axe swing, then kick off the Hellhound and throw the axes before landing on the ground and grabbing the thrown weapons. Fenrir will swing around King Goomba and rapidly increase in size. While he's tied up, Fenrir will then stomp on King Goomba to crush him. Then he'll retract his chains.
Fuzz, if you could find a way to keep the Slasher from dismembering me, it would be very much appreciated.

Stand near the vent in the hopes of attracting Slasher's attention, then use Retaliate (2* Samurai, user takes a defensive stance for several turns and will dodge all physical attacks in this time while countering on a random enemy target). If possible switch weapons to the Engine Blade (Sword, +124 attack, +95 accuracy) and if any of the counters are directed at Slasher aim for the limbs. I've got something special planned for next turn, you're going to love this.

Tyro is on the lookout for Slasher, but it doesn't seem to come out anywhere in sight. Tyro switches to the Engine Blade.
Fenrir throws one of his chain blaster to Spearah who slides to avoid an attack from the Hellhound, running towards both students. She uses the chain to trip it. Spearah hits the beast with her two axes, then jumps to kick off of it, but it sets itself in fire, making her take the damage instead. Fenrir grows in size to squish King Goomba in one attack. The polygon fighter is launched through the walls, revealing space. Thankfully logic has no place so there's no vacuum.

Alright, if you can take Hellhound then I can now turn Slasher into a complete joke. I'll use Draw Fire (3* Knight, causes all single target physical attacks by enemies to target the user for several turns). You see, there's a little strategy that players have dubbed Drawtaliate which is especially effective against bosses that use a lot of physical moves. Thanks to Draw Fire I'm the only one that can be targeted by single target physical moves, but since I've still got Retaliate active that guarantees that they'll miss me while triggering a counterattack on a random enemy. In other words, we're effectively immune to single target physical moves now. Magic attacks or AoE physicals can still hurt us (well, AoE physicals can hurt you) but AFAIK Slasher doesn't have any of those, and while there are a few instances of moves that can ignore Draw Fire and Retaliate those are pretty rare and are mostly counters which aren't triggered by counters such as those from Retaliate.

Fenrir will grab the opening in the wall and tear off an entire chunk of the wall to throw at the Hellhound. Meanwhile, Spearah slides under the giant wall and shifts her axe into a rocket launcher, preparing to use her ice missile on the Hellhound. Once he's hit, Spearah will break the ice into shards and knock the Hellhound around while Fenrir uses a chain, retract, punch, blast combo multiple times. Let's go for overkill bonus points.

(Well, I won't bother with having them survive since you cheesed the fight xd)
Tyro activates Draw Fire, which makes Alpha Hellhound runs rowards him instead of retaliating against Spearah. Fenrir tears off a part of the wall, throwing it at the hellhound while Spearah slides under the debris. The beast is hit, while Spearah finishes it with an ice missile.
The necromorph, stealthily coming out of the ship slashes Tyro in the back, making no damage and activating a counter instead. Tyro cuts a leg. Still a combo in mind, Spearah and Fenrir changes their target to en the combo as the Hellhound is launched away. Spearah sends multiple shards at the last enemy, cutting more limbs, wile Fenrir brings it to himself with his chains, punching him while releasing a blast of energy, launching Slasher away.

The rest area appears.
A big dark portal appears, as well as three pillars.
M: "In co-op, you can still pick up a bonus equipment. Note that only one of you can hold it at a time, but you can give it to each other during the battle. You can also pass the portal without picking any bonus."
Fire hat: Lets you breathe fire.
Bug spray: Repels bug. The can will explode if heated
Warp Star: A vehicle from another world which goes really fast.

Do you have a preference, Fuzz? I'll let you have the equipment since I don't really need it.

I could probably get some good mileage out of that Warp Star.

As soon as Tyro touches the Warp Star, Fenrir, Spearah and him are all stuck on it, launching through the portal at full speed. They zoom accross the sky above a jungle on the Warp Star, passing right through a treetop cabin.
They crash in a plain, next to some kind of blue fly. Tyro keeps the Warp Star. The blue fly looks at the cabin falling into the jungle, in awe, then turns towards the party.
---BOSS STAGE: SWARM LEADER, BLUEBERRY BURT---
Blueberry Burt: "OH HELL NO! You did not just destroy my house!"
Blueberry Burt takes flight, putting a safe distance between him and the party, he whistles, making a lot of Bronto Burt come out of the jungle and form a sphere around him. Blueberry Burt is unrecognizable amongst the swarm.

Alright, by now I've probably got at least one unit of the Soul Break gauge filled, so it's time to bring out an ability entirely unique to Tyro and one which shares its name with the weapon he learns it from: Sentinel's Grimoire. A massive blue and white shield plummets down from the sky and slams into the ground before quickly fading away. This deals no damage, but it does give the entire party +200% defense and resistance for several turns.

I guess it's up to me to provide the offense this round then. Spearah will shift her axes into a rocket launcher and shoot down the groups of Bronto Burts that get too close. Fenrir leaps off of the star, toward the hoard, and shoots his chain into the hoard. He'll rapidly swing around the hoard, grabbing different Bronto Burts and propelling himself with his blasters while using both shots and slashes to lower their numbers gradually. If he falls, he'll latch onto a tree and swing himself back upward using some shots from his blasters.

(I originally thought he would be an easy second boss, but thinking about it now I think this little fella is a huge difficulty spike...)
A giant shield surrounds the party, tripling their defense and resistance. (100%+200% = 300%/triple). A group of Bronto Burt separates from the sphere, charging Spearah. She shoots at the oncoming onslaught with her rocket launcher, but around five Bronto Burt make hit, hitting her. The defense boost makes her feel barely anything. Fenrir avoids another rush by jumping from the Warp Star. He starts lowering the number on the sphere around Blueberry, but he still can't be seen. Whistling is heard inside the swarm. More Bronto Burt come out of the jungle. This new swarm starts circling around Tyro.
