Cornelius will go for a sliding kick to trip Julia and break any guards she has up. Then he'll use an upward slash to knock her into the air before going for a five slash combo and ending with a drilling attack using his sword.

Cast Slow IX on Julia, then use Bolt X on Nathan Drake.

(Instant status effect moves for the win!)
The Emperor casts slow on Julia, making her too slow to avoid Cornelius slide kick, she falls down face first, letting the Psypher slash at her and then drill her into the ground. Drake throws a grenade at The Emperor for heavy damage, but he's also hit by a lightning bolt from above, finishing him. Julia remains, but she's pretty much powerless. As she sees Drake flying off, she surrenders.
"GAME!"
The boss portal appears, as well as the rest area and the bonus pillars.
Scan Goggles: Can scan and pinpoint the enemy location, takes the entire turn everytime it is used though, which requires ally communication.
Black Dust Crystal: Can be infused into a weapon. Will make the enemy glow.
Update Bomb: Remove all glitches on screen. One use only.

Sounds like the enemy up ahead is going to be turning invisible and/or hiding from us. Switch out Killer Cloud for Volcano (Creates a volcanic explosion) and Whirlwind for Zero Timer. (All skills cost zero PP and Power for a short amount of time)
I guess I'll take the Update Bomb.

We're only able to take one item between the two of us, right? Just as well, Flare should give us a general idea of where our opponent is since it homes in.

You enter the portal, finding yourselves in an desert area with an oasis. There's two palm trees which can be climbed, they have coconuts in them. The oasis itself also seems quite deep. The enemy is on the other side of the oasis. It looks like and ordinary guy with brown hair.
---BOSS STAGE: VS BADLY PROGRAMMED HUMAN, GLITCHY---
Glitchy: "Hi, I'm the boss of this floor... I have no idea what my abilities are, but I certainly won't go easy on you since you blasted through the previous stages. Good luck!"
Glitchy starts running. He suddenly disappears, then reappears, running in a plam tree.

Well, I guess I'll just throw my attacks at him. I can't anticipate anything. Jump up in the air and spin the blade around vertically to fly towards Glitchy before changing directions to move the opposite direction. After that, go for a three spinning horizontal slash attack in the direction he is in, increasing in strength with each slash.

So a character who relies on traps versus someone who's so unpredictable that even he doesn't know what he can do. Well this should be interesting. Haste VIII on self to boost speed, then Blink VIII on self to increase physical evasion. I would toss a Flare out now but Just is spazzing out and I don't know if it's subject to Friendly Fire or not.

(There's no friendly fire until the enemy actually use your attack against yourself. So if Cornelius willingly runs into a Flare, he won't take damage. If he's thrown into hit though, he will.)
Cornelius flies to the palm tree, while The Emperor boosts his speed and evasion. Cornelius then changes direction, then turns around as Glitchy appears right in front of him and is about to punch him in the face. Cornelius hits him first with three slashes, sending him flying. Glitchy then reappears running in the palm tree.
Cornelius and The Emperor's weapons disappear from their hands and appear in Glitchy's hands.

OH, HELL NO. Use the Update Bomb ASAP to get that Psypher back. I can't do anything without it. Once Cornelius gets the sword back, it's time to stop playing games. The glitches will be gone, so use Zero Timer. Emit a bright flash to stun Glitchy before knocking him up in the air with an upward slash. He'll be helpless once I have him up there. Activate Plasma Circle to create a ring of stunning and damaging electric orbs around Cornelius before using Arc Wheel, a spinning slash in the air. This should keep Glitchy stunned in the air for longer, so summon three storm clouds to drop lightning bolts on his and drop down both Shine and Volcano on the ground at the same time, continuing to keep Glitchy stunned and hitting him with a volcanic explosion at the same time. Activate Whirling Blade to suck in all enemies in a spinning slash on the ground while doing heavy damage. Finally, once I've got him close up from Whirling Blade, use Caladbolg. A gigantic blade of lightning will appear in his hand and lightning will blast throughout the area while he unleashes multiple strikes, finishing with one powerful blow. It's like his ultimate move. Also, remember that every attack he manages to chain together increases the amount of damage dealt. Plus that damage is boosted when chaining skills. He also has a boost in damage when dealing damage to stunned enemies, so add that where you will.

Meanwhile once I've got my scepter back this should provide plenty of time for me to charge up Starfall, especially with Haste active. For good measure cast Slow IX on him while you're using the bomb, since your weapon's stats aren't really taken into account when casting magic in FF2 so much as your own magic stat and the rank of the spell not having my scepter shouldn't cause any trouble.

(Hmm... There's no sign of Zero Timer stopping time, but it seems with the update bomb you caught Glitchy in an endless stunned loop and he doesn't have that much health so...)
Cornelius uses an onslaught of attack, keeping Glitchy in a loop of stunning attacks. Meanwhile, The Emperor charges and uses Starfall to make a meteor shower fall amongst Cornelius' onslaugh.
Glitchy ends up on the ground, blinking, as the smash balls appear and get into both Cornelius and The Emperor. They sense a powerful aura surround them.

Got anything to combo off of a giant Tornado strong enough to destroy a city?

Not really. I guess I could just use Caladbolg again in the center of the tornado.

That could work, perhaps riding the tornado to repeatedly strike before getting out as the tornado picks up enough speed to rip Glitchy to shreds.
