If you want to, he can. Just remember that means he can't be an adventurer later.

If you really want him to be a hero later I could easily bring that Red Mage character in. Mighty change his name though, I wasn't crazy about the last one and it recently occurred to me that we still don't have a Cid.

It's your choice, Fuzz. If you want to use Cid, you can make him and I'll let you have him as a shopkeeper.

He's definitely going to be in, it's just a matter of whether he shows up sooner or later as one. I may have something extra planned involving him providing plotlines for some bonus dungeons, but the party isn't even close to handling something like that yet.

So Fuzz are you going to have Cid be the shopkeeper or the adventurer.
Because for now Paul was just going to hang back til sometime in the future kinda of forces him back.
Actually I have an idea for Cid if your jnterested

Both, the Red Mage hereafter referred to as Cid was an adventurer when Lupis was a child, by now he's got to be 50-60 years old and would have retired. He was going to sell some special weapons he had gathered over the years (nothing stopping him from selling normal gear too, though) and eventually clueing them in on some special areas. As for your idea, I'm all ears.

Ohh I thought Cid was going to be younger then Paul and was thinking maybe Cid could be an apprentice to Paul.
But what if it was the other way around and Paul met Cid during his travels before everyone meets up. Cid could have been a mentor to Paul after Paul left the village him and Jess grew up.
Cid taught him the basis of being a spell blade and what he knows of magic. Whether Just has Cid as part of the crew from the beginning or we come across an old man dressed up as a red mage and Paul goes like Cid is that you. Hey old man what have you been up to.
They can both sell there respective wares for now. Paul handles the "basic" equipment while Cid can handle the special equipments and quest. Then when Paul joins the adventures Cid can offer to take over all the merchant stuff while Paul helps out whoever the WoL or New people.

Maybe, although he never really stayed in one place for too long. As far as plot goes I was thinking of him having a vague sense of familiarity from Reyol, Forrest, and Infernus until towards the end when he finally finds out whose children they were.

How about traveling partners that split after a year or so. It can be as ugly or mutual as we want it to be (anything from hey I am going to such and such place far from here if you come we wouldn't be back for a long time. Paul wants to stay because he wants to stay some place close.) (Or argument about there philosophy or goals, or even over a woman or Money) Paul in LK 2 is in his early 40's. (He was 22 in LK1).

...Which is still 10-20 years younger than him. There's also the fact that it takes a character who was meant to be a big part of Lupis and Sylvia's backstory (he's the one that inspired Lupis to become an adventurer and Sylvia to begin practicing magic) and makes him a much bigger part of another character's backstory.

I should have time to make my character sheets tonight.
Can I remove Archer from Talia? There's nothing that would actually make her an archer. She didn't really have any interaction with Eve (She's not her mother).
