Amy: "Great! HEY, AWKWARD! WE GOT A NEW PARTNER!"
Awkward: "WHATEVER! I'M TALKIN' BUSINESS! Sorry 'bout that. Anyways, I can fully pay relocation and guarantee consistent demand. The location is..." Tell Brewster the location of the apartment. "By the time you're ready to relocate, the space should be ready for you to set up your business.
...Actually, I should talk to the raccoon first so it's ready. AMY! You go with Golden Mimic to the apartment and get the landlord to expand the place. Take the racecar. NEWBIE! YOU'RE WITH ME!"
Amy will take Golden Mimic and go to the apartment complex to talk with Tom Nook about expansion. Awkward will take Claire with him and leave the cafe, looking for whatever's immediately nearby that's interesting. If there's nothing in particular, dip into a nearby store.

"Alright. As long as things are ready, I am willing to move there." Brewster agrees to your relocation plan. It seems like he should be showing up once the expansion is done. You then head outside with Claire and head to the closest place that stands out. It's a high school. It doesn't look like anyone's here right now though...
Amy drives the race car back to the apartment and asks Tom Nook for an expansion. "Hmm? Oh, yes, yes! Of course! I'll get right to work on that. It should be done soon. Don't worry about paying it all off right now. We can talk once the construction is finished, yes?"

Amy: "Alright! Thanks!"
Amy walks out of the apartment building. "So this is the power of money, huh? Hmm... I wonder... HMM..."
Amy gets in the racecar real quick and races dangerously over to the incredibly nearby casino, running into the building and talking to the person at the counter. "How much to buy out your casino?"
Awkward: "Alright, this place looks useless, but let's try something here, newbie..." Awkward will try opening any obvious entrances and look in windows for anything of interest.

Flora looks at Amy with a weird expression. "Well, I can't really make that call. That's up to the casino owner."
You check for any possible entrances. The doors to the school seem to be locked. But there is a window you can probably reach if you climb a nearby tree...

Awkward: "Up there. Easy." Use the Ninja Simulator on Awkward and Claire so they can ninja their way to the window easily.

You and Claire climb down the tree, heading over toward the mysterious portal when suddenly someone else comes walking out and bumps right into you! "Oof! Hey!" It's a woman wearing a blue dress with transparent wings. "Watch where you're going! ...Huh? Hey, Crow, he's got a sphere thing too." You notice a crow and some girl with a huge book follow after. The crow is holding a sphere too. It glows brightly in reaction to yours.
"...Interesting." Claire watches carefully.
Crow
Waite leads the way outside and seems to immediately bump into someone. "Oof! Hey!" You head out with Terra and find that Waite bumped into a robot of some kind. There's also a girl with him. She's wearing a white robe with fuzzy purple trim and boots. "Watch where you're going! ...Huh? Hey, Crow, he's got a sphere thing too." You notice the robot is holding a sphere. It glows brightly, reacting to yours.
"...Interesting." The girl watches carefully.

Awkward stares at the sphere in shock.
"W-Whoa! You're a sphere user too?"
Awkward then takes the time to actually observe the bird holding the orb.
"And a majestic crow, too... Um... Listen. I think I need your help. See, there's this man with a sphere... He and his friends shot, beat, and nearly killed me. I-I know we just met and it's a very sudden offer, but could you help eliminate that terrible person? I've got no one else to turn to, and I fear for my life..."

Crow jumps up onto Terra's shoulder and takes a closer look at the robot's party. He hops up and down a bit. "Caw."
"Say it yourself. Anyway, yeah, we'll help you. But you've gotta give us a bit more to go on. Are there multiple "aggressive sphere users" or just the one? What can you tell us about the one that attacked you? When and where? What were his abilities?"

Awkward: "T-Thanks! I didn't catch his name, but the man who attacked me dressed almost like a detective and had a sphere like ours. He was accompanied by a large man with a safe for a head and a hobo who fancies himself as the "Hobo Lord". The man... he had some sort of ability that allowed him to almost transform into another person and fire many guns. He attacked us not terribly long ago, in a dark alley. I had to fight my way through hordes of hobos just to survive... Anyways, he could be about anywhere by now... Sorry, I don't know where he is. I also haven't met any other sphere users, but assume that they'll all attack you without hesitation.
...That's all I know. Is that good enough for you...? Oh, I can also pay you large amounts of gold for your services..."

"Well, that should be enough to track him down. But..." Terra mutters to herself. "We've already got so much to do, we don't need to keep adding things to our list, but we can't ignore-"
Crow takes off and flies into the air. He scans the area, and summons a character. The Baby Crow Swarm spreads out and begins scouting down every alleyway they can find.
Terra groans. "Welp. That's great. Oh, yeah, have you seen a lady wearing really heavy, orange-y armor?"
