Kayamba throws a sonic bomb. No-Longer-Red-Can reels about in disorientation until Flash and Isaac team up to pull some Mortal Kombat shit.
After Barry finishes dislodging the corpse of No-Longer-Red-Cap from his hand, the group proceeds to the final room. They can see the escape pods on the far wall. Most of them are already gone, but a pair are in working order! There should be just enough room. Maybe. Balrog... might have to squeeze a bit.
For some reason - and God only knows who thought this was a wise design choice - there's a giant track in the floor so that a giant fan can run half through this room, whooshing by at a lethal rate. There seems to be a control panel for the thing on the far side of the room.
Balrog hears more explosions growing closer and closer, before the explosions stop. From the 2nd room, he looks through the glass back into the first room. It's... an army. The explosives slowed them down, but they're finally here. The leader of the bunch - you know him well (he used to be the ship's chief of security before the infection started) - steps forward and pounds his fists on his tie-wearing chest the way only a giant gorilla-like monkey monster can.

(I don't get the fan thing, it's blocking the pods?)

Isaac will go look at the control pannel. Kayamba will use his wind negation dance. Barry will zoom past the fan to prepare the pods.
Hmm...
Balrog will wait for a few enemies to climb on him before entering the oil room to start the escape sequence.

The control panel's next to the pods. The pods don't need any prep, just hop in and press go. Remember only 2 need to escape.

Okay...
Wind Negation dance from Kayamba. Isaac will prep the escape pods. Barry will run away right before the oil room, then supernova punch the damn fan.
Right after Barry starts the supernova punch, Balrog will run through the pod room.
Assuming the supernova punch at least stops the fan, Barry and Kayamba should be able to make it to the pods. Isaac and Balrog will also try to make it though.

Barry punches the fan. It breaks one of the fan blades and warps its mechanism enough that the rest is left grinding and moving a lot slower. Kayamba and Isaac have no trouble slipping through the large opening and clambering into an escape pod beside Barry.
Balrog goes running through the oil room, setting it on fire and causing a lot of issues for the things that are chasing behind him.
He manages to climb into the other pod.
The pods jettison. The survivors are able to see the ship exploding catastrophically behind them, sending the pods off-course and crashing into a nearby planet... Mission accomplished

It's taking me some time to actually get this ready. By which I mean "make it fittingly harder but not unfair." I know vaguely how it's going to go, but I'm having a hard time of it.

You never played Gods Will be Watching, so this'll all be new for you...
First thing's first. Pick a leader. The objective's going to be "Leader survives X days."

Hmmm...
Balrog would have the most health, but he's a sitting duck.
Isaac is well-rounded for this but has no gimmick.
Kayamba has low health, but he's support and can hide underground to regenerate, so he shouldn't be in front fighting
Barry is probably the least likely to not even get hit
Hmmm...
You know what? I'm gonna go with Kayamba. I want to be able to take risks and use Barry as a powerhouse. I need him more to fight than Kayamba for this.

The detonation of the ship sends the escape pods spiraling wildly towards a nearby planet. Fortunately, it seems habitable. The occupants manage to regain enough control to determine a landing point to some degree. A quick scan reveals a few promising landing points.
- Beside a large lake, near the forest's edge - A glade in the middle of thick forest - An open plain with tall grass - At the foot of a cliff with a few caves, surrounded by wasteland

Let's go to the lake.

(Oh... going with the same location as the game, then...)
The survivors manage to steer themselves towards the shore of a tranquil lake. The escape pods are badly damaged in the landing, and the survivors are forced to abandon them. Balrog scavenges what he can from the flaming wreckage, but almost all the supplies have been ruined... including the rescue beacon. Issac does a preliminary analysis and determine's it's fixable, but it'll take some time.
There are a few trees nearby. Enough to keep them supplied with wood. Kayamba checks the nearby area and notices there's a few berries they could gather, and he could probably make a fishing rod with some time. Barry scouts out a bit further and finds tracks from several monsters that seem to roam the area. Most don't seem so bad and could even be prey, but some of the prints are colossal in scale. There won't be much warning about attacking predators, and the lakeside provides almost no protection from the elements - the ruined escape pods won't make decent shelter, either.
DAY ONE
Kayamba (leader) - Health: 100%, Hunger 0% Balrog - Health: 100%, Hunger 0% Issac - Health: 100%, Hunger 0% Barry - Health: 100%, Hunger 0%

Balrog will be on the lookout for enemies. He'll stay away from woodcutting or gathering.
Kayamba will gather berries. He'll use some of them to create some traps for little creatures though.
Barry will use his speed to gather as much wood as possible. Isaac will start building a wall with the wood. He'll build it as a demi-circle so any predator has to swim through the lake to attack the party.
