Isaac will get working on the pannel, while Kayamba places a shock trap next to Isaac.
Balrog and Barry will keep an eye out for enemies.
After an explanation from Isaac, Barry will take the Line Gun and zoom around the place, placing as much mines as he can.

Isaac goes to work on the panel. Electricity starts arcing around the machine, but it's nothing he hasn't been trained to deal with.
Kayamba places a trap nearby.
Barry runs back and places several trip mines along the corridor back towards the bridge. He sees a shadow shift as one of those things notices him, but he's gone before it gets the chance to attack.
There's more sound of... something skittering around behind the walls, but nothing comes out to attack by the time Isaac finishes his work. The blast door slides open, revealing the main engineering deck.
The main core is damaged and looks like it could rupture at any second. All the more reason to get off this ship.
Three rooms to get to the bay of escape pods. The next room's got a large glass window. Inside, the air is discolored by a thick cloud of a dangerous-looking chemical. The door into the room is part of an airlock. There's a vent override switch just a bit inside the door that should clear out the gas.

Barry will vibrate his hands quickly to create some king of wind spiral. He uses it often to dissipate gas.
The others will be on the lookout for enemies. Kayamba will use an attack + dance.

Barry fires a wind-nado at the gas. As it's sealed in the next room, it does nothing except bounce off the window.

(-__-)
Isaac will open the door, Barry will clear a path like before so Isaac can go activate the gas dissipation.

Isaac proceeds through the airlock and immediately notices the gas is damaging his RIG. It appears to be extremely corrosive. Barry quickly begins fanning the gas away. Barry manages to make a funnel of clean air for Isaac to march through. He hits the fan and the air begins to clear rather quickly.
Two rooms between here and the escape pods. The next room seems to have several large patches of floor covered in a shiny liquid - oil, probably. Several red barrels are placed in strategic locations, perfect for lighting the area on fire. There's a large enough path that it would be possible for anyone besides Balrog to pass through without having to touch the oil.

As an engineer, Isaac will analyze the situation.
If Kayamba, Barry and him go first, Balrog could then pass the room. Fire damage wouldn't do anything to him and the others would have already passed through the room.
What Isaac will analyze is if the resulting explosion would breach the hull and create a vacuum.

Isaac surveys the situation. It doesn't look like any of the barrels are large enough nor close enough to the walls to deal any serious structural damage themselves. Even if the hull here is damaged, there's a secondary hull right behind it. That much should be fine. The real concern is the fire itself. It's likely to be putting off toxic fumes, and if it raises the temperature in the area too much, it could be the final bit of instability the main core needs to go critical. But the room they're currently in should be them a few minutes, at least, even in a worst-case scenario.
That's the risk of damage to the ship, anyway. The team members themselves probably won't fare as well in case of explosions or fire.

Okay... Leave Balrog behind for now... He'll run to the pods when the others make it.
Isaac, Kayamba and Barry will move forward, avoiding the oil.
(I could have Barry go back in time befire the oil falls down, but screw that)

Isaac, Kayamba, and Barry head into the next room. They carefully avoid the oil. Kayamba notices movement out of the corner of his eye. He turns in time to warn the others that a barrel is flying their way. Everyone's able to dodge out of the way, and the oil crashes into the ground and rolls to the wall. One of those... things, dressed in a bright red cap and overalls, hops up on another barrel and announces himself with a loud "it's me!"
He adopts a fighting stance.
Balrog hears an explosion back from the hallway they came from. Sounded like one of their trip mines.

(Okay... A single spark can ignite everything...)
Isaac will pull out the TK Gun, Barry will go out the room. Isaac will push the Mario Zombie with it. Barry will use his hand tornadoes to keep Mario on the wall, while Kayamba places a trap pitfall trap under him.

Isaac launches Red Cap against the wall, and Barry starts blowing to keep him pinned against it. Kayamba scampers over, forced to run through the oil, and sets a pitfall trap beneath him.

(Oh... I thought I posted)
Barry will let the enemy fall into the pitfall. Isaac will use the circular saw weapon I forgot the name off to cut him into pieces. Kayamba will throw Boomerangs at it.

Barry stops pinning Red Cap to the wall. Red cap falls to the floor and, somehow, seems to be heavy enough to trigger the trap designed for giant monsters. The... pitfall trap... embedded in the ship's metal floor... Huh.
Unfortunately, it also seems that, despite its weight, Red Cap is an expert at jumping. He easily sproings out of the hole. As Isaac fires a sawblade at him, Red Cap flicks a cape and sends it flying back at Isaac. It does some decent damage to his RIG.
Kayamba throws some boomerangs at Red Cap. He makes a distorted, goofy "d'oh" noise and falls flat on his face. He starts flashing after the first shot, and the rest seem to pass right through him; he also appears to have shrunk to half his previous height.
Balrog can hear more explosions from the trip mines in the distance.
They're coming.

Kayamba will stun the enemy with a Sonic Bomb, while Barry does the vibrating hand and Isaac TK guns Mario into it.
(Basically, vibrating hand is exactly what it sounds like. Barry makes his hand vibrate and can stab an enemy right in the heart with it. Used more by Reverse Flash, but Flash can do it too.)
