Kayla
You pocket the envelope and start tearing after the guy while yelling threats.
Kayla's Law check: 76/45 - Failure
You aren't sure that chasing him down and tasing him is really... entirely legal... Especially since he's running away. Actually, you're pretty sure it's not, but...
Kayla vs Unknown, opposed CON check: Minor Unknown victory
You try to keep up with him, but he's fast. He puts some distance between you, but you manage to keep him close enough to see him duck into an alleyway shortly after leaving the park.

Continue following him, specifying that she can get him arrested if he doesn't cooperate.

Okay now that McKnife is down take his knife and place it in my bag for now.
Then go towards one of the bat bros and this time just go in for an overhead swing and bring the bat right down on top of his skull

FrancisYou go running over to help. Mr. Armor swings at one of them, but misses again. The guy with the bat winds up and smashes into his head. Mr. Armor groans and staggers back. He clearly felt that, even under all that armor. The other comes for you. He takes a big swing at you. You manage to throw your own bat up just in time to deflect it. You try to hit him back, but he shuffles away. The third guy continues to be unconscious. KaylaYou run into the alley after him. Kayla's Track check: 92/15 - Major FailureDammit... it cuts through to the next street! You run through, sure you'll be able to find him, but... Dammit, where did he go!? It looks like he got away... But you still have the pictures, at least.

(Any change to strategy, X?)
Kayla
You head home and check on your koala. He seems to be fine. Sleeping while clinging halfway up his little cat tree, as usual. Looks like he didn't finish all his food yet...
You flop down on the couch and open up the envelope. You dump out a handful of pictures. One immediately catches your attention. It's a white, unmarked van. It seems to be in some repair shop. Across the back door, there's a large set of claw marks and what looks like some sort of... maybe it's paint, but your gut tells you it's almost definitely a few drops of blood.
Most of the other pictures just show the van at various angles and at various levels of clarity.
Kayla (various rolls of mixed success)
You notice one of the pictures has a pretty good view of the tires. Weren't there some tire tracks found near the forest...? Yeah. You've got some pictures on file at the office, you can compare them in the morning. Of course, the police might appreciate getting these pictures, as well.
Oh... right. Where were these pictures taken? You look through the pictures for any clues. Not like there are too many services places in town, but... Ah. You missed it the first time, but when you check to make sure there weren't any other pictures in the envelope, a business card falls out. From Florville Service and Repair, eh?

(My bad Crow for some reason I thought I posted already)
Francis
Goes to swing at one of the bat swinging crazies. Again she will fake for a fake head strike and will go for a swing at the groin

You swing at the new guy a few times, unable to land a hit. He manages to whack you in the elbow with his bat, ouch.
Francis took 3 damage.
Mr. Armor finally seems to find his stride, knocking his opponent's bat away and bashing him twice with that mace. That... is in imitation mace, you hope.
The mugger slumps over after the second hit and stops moving.
Now fighting two-on-one, the last of the three men turns tail and starts to run. Mr. Armor stands by impassively, watching him go.

The guy in the armor seems to be staring at you intently from under his visor. After a few intimidating moments, he finally speaks. "You have some potential. Continue to hone your skills." He turns and looks like he's about to walk away, then looks over his shoulder. "Oh, and I'd prefer you not mention a 'crazy guy in armor' to the police when they ask you about the mace wounds."

The man in armor turns away. "Tch. People today have no sense of honor. You shouldn't even have to ask why someone did the right thing."
