Time: Day 1, Evening
Location: Cajun-Creole Crabshack
Alethea heads to a small diner. She marches straight in and takes a seat at the counter without waiting for a server. You get the impression she's a bit of a regular. Even moreso when one of the cooks notices her and calls to the back. A face pops up in the window. "Hey! Li'l 'thea's come back with a new guy, eh?" a friendly, portly man shouts. He's wearing a white chef's hat.
"Ah, can it, Lou! He's just another source!" she calls back. She turns to you. "Ignore him," she tells you. "The ol' bastard's a tease."
A young waitress comes by to take your order. She's rather attractive, and seems pretty confident. "You want the usual?" she asks your partner.
"Eh, mix it up with some extra cheese," she suggests.
"You got it, Tea. And what can I get you, Sugar?" she asks.

You head home. While on the way, you hear a loud noise coming from an alleyway.
Francis' Drive check: 64/20 - Failure
As a man jumps out as you bike past, he manages to knock you off your scooter. As you scramble to your feet, another two men come creeping out of the alleyway. Two are brandishing bats, and the one that tackled you draws out a knife. "Well, hey there, cutie. Why don't you go ahead and hand over your wallet and-"
Francis' Luck check: 3/60 - Really good
A loud clanking noise draws their attention. A man in full plate mail is charging down the street to join the fight. You take advantage of the moment to ready your weapons.
Battle Start
Francis and Mr. Armor vs. Thugs
Kayla
You head to the park a bit ahead of schedule and scope out the area you were supposed to meet. You don't see any signs of traps or anything, and the areas you would set an ambush from seem to be clear enough. You take a few pictures, then wait in a bush.
Soon enough, a man comes strolling up.
Kayla's Psychology check: 24/50 - Strong Success
He's obviously more than a bit nervous. He's trying to be discreet, but he's not very good at it... For one, he's wearing a big trenchcoat and an oversized hat, and trying to keep his face hidden, despite the fact he's standing completely in the open under a light post.
He's holding an envelope.

Take a picture of him, hide the camera well and walk up to him, without saying a word. Put away the night vision goggles too of course.
She's in an investigation. No time to be scared and miss a lead.

You try to take a picture of the guy's face. Since the guy won't stop shifting nervously, it's not exactly the most clear - definitely wouldn't hold up in court - but you could probably at least match it to someone if you knew who you were looking for.
You walk up to the guy. You look him up and down, but nothing catches your eye. He's pretty well-covered by the coat. He looks at you back, then wordlessly offers you the envelope while pulling his hat down to hide his face more.

Lessee... you went straight from work to the police station to the bar. I don't think most work places let you CC. Especially not a chemical plant. And I don't know laws about storing weapons in vehicles inside and out, but I don't think a scooter is acceptable. I think it has to have a proper lock system. I don't see any reason you would have the sword cane since you weren't trying to smuggle a weapon anywhere.
So probably just the bat.

You dont know who your f****** with. You see I attacked someone way scarier then you who was trying to attack a security guard. You think your cute little toys frighten me. I shall teach you bastards the true meaning of fear.
Francis takes out her own baseball bat. Such a shame I left my anti thug bat at home oh well this will do.
Francis will then feint a high swing towards knife baddie. Then she will go ahead and swing for the umm....well he is a human male so ummm well the umm sweet spot and swing there with all her might.

The guy in the trenchcoat silently pulls the envelope back and undoes the clasp, then holds it so you can see the contents. It looks like a collection of photographs.
Francis
You pull out your bat.
The guy in armor doesn't break his charge, pulling out a mace and swinging it at one of the guys with bats. The bat guy ducks the attack and swings his bat, but the armor guy's already moved past his counter-attack. The other makes a swing at his head, but the armor guy swats it away.
You walk up to the guy with a knife and swing your bat around.
Francis Bat Attack: 2/20 - Critical Hit!
Damage: (8+2)*2
You feint a strike to his head, twirl around, drop to a knee, and thrust your bat backwards into his crotch.
He lets out a squeak before collapsing to the ground, unconscious. The other two are still fighting with the armor guy.
Roy
Nothing interesting happens at the diner. It was a nice meal. Alethea was nice enough to pay, but you don't really talk about anything interesting. You learn the head-chef-slash-owner's name is Louie, and the waitress' name is Ellen. Ellen finishes up her shift, and Alethea tells you you're heading with her.
Move to Downtown.
