"Since I can't see the injury, you're going to have to check it out for me, maybe clean it up a bit. Actually, let's... just go through a complete examination. Make sure nothing's wrong elsewhere. Just like the nurse taught you. Don't worry, I'll help walk you through it..."
You spend quite some time checking her out. The injury on her chest still looks almost as bad as it did the first time you saw it - just as red and inflamed, despite the medication she's been on. She's got a smaller slash on her waist you hadn't noticed before that's much the same. And a small bruise on her shin from where she kicked the bed frame by mistake. Nothing life-threatening. You help apply disinfectant and redo the bandages. With her help, it's not so tough. And you feel like you've learned a bit.
