Swaltzer's Accounting Roll: 9/25 - Success
You attempt to business. Crow knows very little about business, but Swaltzers seems to give that business the business very effectively. Time for lunch, then off to do things for the afternoon.
Francis
Your boss takes the note. "What the heck is this crap?"
"Writing, sir," his secretary explains.
"Oh." He stares at it for a bit. "OK, you're off the hook. This time. But I'm watching you."
"It says she's not supposed to do any heavy lifting for the next few days," his secretary explains.
"Oh. Well, don't do that, then. Only use light chemicals."
Francis' Chemistry roll: 31/52 - Success
You spend the day doing things satisfactorily. Just another day on the job. You get out for evening and try to decide where to go.

Swaltzer will eat lunch with his workers yet again, and then call the police of that town.

Swaltzer
Time: Day 1, Afternoon
You call the Winchestertonfieldville police again. The non-emergency line, because you're not an idiot. "Hello?" a tired voice comes from across the line.

Describe the case and ask for any information about it that they could disclose.

The man sighs. "What do you want me to say about it? Two girls went missing from some orphanage years ago. It sounds like you already know pretty much everything there is to know. No leads, no clues - nothing that turned up anything, anyway. Do you have information pertaining to the case?"

"Yeah. This case exactly describes two girls in a circus that I have seen. I have befriended one of them, and the details all line up!"
Point out the similarities.

A groan comes across the line. "Yeah, that's... great, except the ages don't... plus, the case is... ah, whatever. You'll need to call your local precinct to have them request the case file and investigate it locally. We're not sending someone cross-country."

"Ok, cool."
Call the local precinct, ask them to request the case.

Swaltzer
You call the local precinct and repeat your story. "OK. Huh. Interesting. OK, yeah, we'll look into it." This guy seems a lot less... uncaring.
Well, that's taken care of.
Now, what to do this evening?
