(Did some research. P.I. have licenses, they are not allowed to have badges. Also, she can't even arrest someone, so she's not even supposed to have these handcuffs. I'm actually wondering what a P.I. is allowed to do.)

(Okay... I don't really care about money, but I can't really get rid of my credit card... No money means I can't take care of my koala. Now, this dream world is especially weird and hostile... The survival gears I bought could be useful... My camera is essential. I'm not offering that. I could give them my license and get a new one, but that means I can't legally investigate as long as I don't receive it...
Now, I think I don't need EVERYTHING in my survival kit...)

The pixie immediately starts going through everything exactly the way you'd expect. "Oh, what's thi- ow! That's sharp. Hey, this shiny's got feathers an- ow! It's also sharp!? Oh, it has a little hook thing! Ooooh, but looks at all these tiny pointy shinies! Ah! And look at how shiny this weird belt is!" She promptly locks half the handcuffs around her waist. Even fully tightened it's pretty loose on her. She stares at the other cuff, confused. "Oh, I get it! Are you supposed to wear it with your boyfriend or besty or something? Or do you just wear them both...?"
The larger fairy giggles and pats her head. "Calm down, Dear." She turns to Kayla. "So, what exactly do you ask of us? Just information...?"

Kayla questions the age of the younger fairy... She shouldn't be interested in... the other uses handcuffs can have. Or maybe she's older than she looks.
The detective shows the van picture the older fairy.
"A child was kidnapped. Parents swear monsters are involved. I was wondering if you knew anything about this van or it's owner. Or owners. Any information coukd save a life.
Also, there's a world I sometimes go to when I sleep. I would have called it The Dream World, but I met a scientist which creates portals to that same world. I went in it fully awake. I was wondering if you knew anything about that other world."

You walk out. Mr. Dixon stands there for a bit, then gets back to packing up and doesn't give Swaltzer a second thought.

"A dream world?" The human-sized fairy seems interested enough that she's completely forgotten the other question. "There are many realms people can be drawn to, particularly in their sleep. It doesn't even take a particularly powerful demon to do so." She directs an annoyed glare at the pixie, who seems to be stuck trying to get out of her new toy. "But for a human to open a portal to one directly...? Hm. Tell me about this dream world."

"So... The first time I went in there was during my sleep. A voice guided me, telling me I was stalked by something dangerous. Eventually, a snake came out of nowhere. I found a dead policeman in there and fought the beast with it. There were six of us in there. We fought it all together. The thing is everyone was blurry. I couldn't properly see them. I've found two of those guys in real life and they could confirm they fought that snake too, so it wasn't actually a dream.
When I woke up, I had the policeman's gun in my hands. He disappeared in real life. We're still looking for him.
With the two other... let's call us "dreamers". With the two other dreamers, we found a scientist that could bring us back to that Dream World through a portal machine. Wanting to find the dead policeman, I went in, but there's no landmark in there. I don't think finding him in that world is possible. We were attacked by creatures the scientist called "goblins". At that point, we escaped and she closed the portal.
That's all I know."

The fairy waves her hand. You hear what sounds like wingbeats fading into the distance, like a small flock of pixies flying off, but you don't see anything when you look. The fairy runs a hand through her hair and observes you calmly. "That still doesn't narrow it down much, unless... What did the 'snake' look like? How big was it? And what about the land, plantlife, sky... Maybe you noticed some interesting star patterns?"
