"So... The first time I went in there was during my sleep. A voice guided me, telling me I was stalked by something dangerous. Eventually, a snake came out of nowhere. I found a dead policeman in there and fought the beast with it. There were six of us in there. We fought it all together. The thing is everyone was blurry. I couldn't properly see them. I've found two of those guys in real life and they could confirm they fought that snake too, so it wasn't actually a dream. When I woke up, I had the policeman's gun in my hands. He disappeared in real life. We're still looking for him. With the two other... let's call us "dreamers". With the two other dreamers, we found a scientist that could bring us back to that Dream World through a portal machine. Wanting to find the dead policeman, I went in, but there's no landmark in there. I don't think finding him in that world is possible. We were attacked by creatures the scientist called "goblins". At that point, we escaped and she closed the portal. That's all I know." (I already did say the only thing I could say about it) |

You describe the world in a fair amount of detail. The creepy sky, weird ground and plants... While you explain, the fairy closes her eyes and listens intently, fidgeting with her flower bracelet.

"I see... That narrows is down. Tell me more about this voice. You say he used magic...?"
You tell her a bit about the weapons and armor the voice created for you. While you talk, the pixie continues to play with her new handcuffs. She seems to have managed to lash herself to a tree branch... You should explain how the key works.

The fairy doesn't seem to have noticed. "Hmmm. And the 'snake?'"
You give her a few more details.
"Ah... A hunting horror. One of... his servants. Yes, that was most likely the Dreamlands. It's usually a relatively safe dimension, but lately it's been a bit rowdy. It's a realm you humans often visit, but rarely while awake. For your 'friend' to have opened a portal is... Ah, of course. The veil between dimensions is particularly thin right now. It's been a rather serious problem for my people. You understand what this means for you, yes?"

Meanwhile, we've been having trouble with kobolds in the forest, but nothing we can't handle. Or nothing we couldn't normally handle. The real concern is... Whatever war there's between supernatural creatures is none of my business. If it happens every few decades, it never affected us humans directly. The fairy is silent as she thinks. "I see..." Several pixies come flying into the glade. They whisper into her ears and she nods quietly. "I see, I see..."
She must eat a lot of carrots.
"Your missing child was taken by demons controlled by humans. This is what the forest tells us. More than that, I cannot say. I do advise you to use caution should you choose to pursue them. Though, if you find them, I would be very interested to know the identity of the ones desecrating my forest." A flash of anger crosses her face.
A lot of the newly arrived pixies are admiring the first one's set of shiny new handcuffs, despite the fact she's somehow managed to chain herself to a tree.

You help the pixie get unlocked. "Oh, now I see how they work!" She clicks one end to her waist, and the other to your wrist. "I caught the bad guy!"
The large fairy snickers behind her hand.

Kayla seems to have a slight smile, which is a change of pace from being serious all the time. Wether the fairies notice the smile or not is still unsure.
