You jump off the cliff again. You feel like you might have broken your hand on that landing... Yep. That was a mistake.

You wake up sitting in the grass on top of the cliff, head resting in Celandine's lap. "Oh, thank goodness you're awake... I wasn't sure how I could possibly get you to the hospital if you were seriously hurt!"


Roy, Francis, Cyrus

Delia shrugs. "OK? So what do you expect me to do about it?"

"That's a good idea! I think. Money's that stuff you humans are always fighting over, right?"

The pixie helps you forage a few berries and mushrooms for dinner.

Francis

Wait your the one who's dealing in research with all that weird dream stuff. Your the one who showed us that thing the other night. Right after we all had that the weird dream about fighting a weird snake.

So I was wondering if your research can help him out because well he is having weird dreams. His dreams maybe be different but they are also very strange and vivid. So I was hoping that your reaserch or machines can help him in some way.

Ignatius laughs.
"Yeah, that's definitely one way to describe money. So I'm guessing you're at least familiar with a bartering system, right? Sort of a "hey, I want something that you own so I'll offer to give you something I own in exchange for it" kind of deal? Well, money works like a universal part of that process. People sell things they've made or provide some sort of service like cooking and are given money by people who want those things, then they use that money to buy things that they want. Kids aren't allowed to work though, so usually their parents buy whatever they need. My parents are long gone, but the money they owned was put in an inheritance fund and I get some of it every month. Not a lot, just enough to help pay for food, water, and some other basic needs. When I'm an adult I'll get all of what's left in that inheritance, and then I'll see what I can do with it so that I'm not living in a tent outside the burned wreckage of my old home living off of canned beans and bottled water."

"No, it's fine. Hospitals are a waste of money, anyway."

No sorry Mr. Roy but it looks like she's not any help after all. Even with her cough cough machine cough cough. Oh well she was just a waste of time.

Anyways there is this one person I met. He was cladded in armor and seemed to know about stuff. We can try him because it seems like people have amnesia around here and forgot they have machines that let you go to certain places.
