Alice, Testalice, and Frex find themselves standing in front of an old-fashioned four-blade windmill. An old, grey-bearded man approaches Cyrus and hands him a bag of wheat. "Just stick this in the grinder inside and the wind should do the rest. So long as that there wind keeps a-blowin' an' them blades keep a-turnin'. Ayup." He starts walking away, pausing to slap Avel on the shoulder. As he stands off to the side, Karth finds himself staring down at his own chest for some reason. His mind metaphorically twitches with confusion. Was he... always... him...? But such nonsense quickly passes.
There's some ancient machinery inside the windmill. Once the wheat's in the hopper, it starts getting ground into a fine powder. Outside, Avel sees... something on the horizon. Something big and grey and gelatinous. Very big. Very grey. Very gelatinous. It's slowly oozing in the general direction of the tower. Everything it touches is disappearing into its body and quickly dissolving.
