Go to the main tower immediately.

Abyss

As you log into the game for the first time, you materialize in a large plaza by a fountain. Multiple other new players are here as well. There's a large fountain at the center of the plaza and a few benches placed throughout. Small trees grow in little plots around the edge of the plaza. Looking out, you notice the triangular shaped plaza appears to be suspended in the air by three towers on all points of it. The plaza ground and the towers all look white and futuristic in design. There are entrances into all of the towers you can reach from the plaza as well. Looking at them, you notice one of the towers is larger than the other two and has a holographic sign that displays "Main Tower" with images of battles and events moving past in the background. A second tower is labeled "Shop" with images of gems moving around in the background. The third tower is labeled "Admin Center" and you notice there are a couple of people wearing white uniforms with question marks floating above their heads standing in front of the entrance. They must be guides here. There are a few players talking to them right now.

Taking a look at the players currently in the plaza, there are a lot. This area is rather crowded. Must be all the new players. After all, the game did launch today. Only those that had early access would have any idea what they're doing. Actually, among the crowds of people, you notice someone that's wearing lots of fancy armor that stands out from the rest. He must be one of those that had early access. He seems to be meeting up with a new player to talk to him and help guide him around. You notice there are actually a lot of players meeting up. Seems this game is popular for friends to play together. Most of the new players look completely lost though.

You receive a message when you log into the game and your menu automatically opens up to display it.

"Thank you for playing Vitcon Gauntlet! Here is your prize for carrying over your save data!"

The message has something attached to it. You receive Set Number 41: Dante! It comes with...

Pzyco

You immediately head off on your way to the main tower, walking in through the entrance. Once in there, you get a quick look around. This place is also full of people. There's a couple elevators in here that go up and down and a large desk with a few people wearing admin clothes helping out with registration for tournaments, events, and free battles. You can tell which one does which because they each have a different symbol over their heads. A crown, an exclamation point, and two swords crossing. There's also plenty of space around here with some chairs here and there to sit in. That must be so that you can set up battles with others in the lobby.

Phathotra

You head directly over to one of the guides and catch their attention, asking what you should do first. "You just started the game, right? How about you head over to the shop first? They'll always give you your first gem for free from the gem lottery. Once you've got your first gem, it might not be a bad idea to try it out in the Beginner Tournament over at the Main Tower."

Go to the sword crossing.

Scythe

You head over to the guides and ask them how you equip the gems you have. "It's pretty simple. Just open up the menu and then go to your equipment. Drag the gem you want from your inventory to the equip slot it corresponds with and it should appear on you." They help to show Scythe how to do it by opening up his menu and placing the Cow Skull on his head equip slot. As they do this, a Cow Skull appears on his head.

Pzyco

You head over to the person with the crossed swords over their head. "Welcome to Free Battles! Are you looking to join a match or create a match?"

Phathotra

You head over to the shop and the shopkeeper there greets you. "Welcome! I can tell you're new here. You can go ahead and take your free gem from the lottery machine. Just pull the lever and it will dispense something for you."

You pull the lever on the machine and hear something move around before a gem is dispensed. A small window pops up, showing what it is.

You receive Shock Gauntlet from Set Number 19: Shock!

Shock Gauntlet - Electrokinesis

It's something. Equip it and head to the beginner's tournament.

Null stares at his inventory in confusion. "Uhhhh... Uhhhh... Ummmmmmm... I-I know! Let's see if I can get even MORE stuff at the shop!" Null runs off to the Shop tower.

Chatting with people? No thanks. Let's go watch a battle and get an idea of how this goes.
