"Me and Paula were kind of going to watch over it while we're awake. One of the few things we know about the person who took the last one is that they're capable of teleporting, so they could probably warp into your room, grab it, and teleport away with you and the stone."

Later that night...
Paula, Cinder, and Pip stay up, watching over the Shadow Gem. Just as they're about to doze off, a Pokemon suddenly appears!
???: Oh, you aren't asleep? I was expecting to speak with you in your sleep, but I guess you all thought ahead of time. Pretty smart.
The Pokemon moves out of the shadows to reveal themselves as Mewtwo!
Mewtwo: I am Mewtwo. I am the one that called you to this world. I'm sorry about last night. I should have said something, but I was low on time. You're probably wondering why I called you to this world, aren't you? Well, I guess I should tell you. I need your help. The world is in danger and I need to gather the Shadow Gems to save it. Those Shadow Gems are from another world. The same world I took you all from. The world of humans. I bet you're wondering how I know about the other world too. Well, that one is easy. I'm also from that world. I was never a human, but I did once live among them. I don't have a lot of time, but I can answer a few more of your questions. If I stay here too long, they might find me.

Mewtwo: Oh, I mean the Pokemon hunting me down. It's an organized party within your very own guild. They are very strong. But they want the world to be destroyed and are hunting me down. They think that saving the world is wrong.
Mewtwo then looks over quickly behind him, surprised.
Mewtwo: I can't stay any longer! I can hear them waking up! I will speak with you again later!
He quickly grabs the Shadow Gem and disappears. What was that all about...? You all head outside and search around the main halls of the guild, but find that very few people are awake. Crescent is up late, performing research. Zar is standing guard in front of Sparky's room. Team Trio is standing around, talking about the Shadow Pokemon that attacked them. You don't see anything strange...

Next morning...
Everyone wakes up, finding that all the jobs on the board have been taken already! It seems they slept in a little late from all the craziness last night. That's fine. They can still explore the dungeons as much as they want or maybe even take the day off to ask around about Mewtwo.

Cinder assembles the team together.
"Alright, last night we met with the person who's been taking Shadow Stones. Turns out it's Mewtwo, and according to them they need the Shadow Stones to save the world. That being said, considering that said Shadow Stones seem to be the very thing endangering the world and the people they said were trying to stop them were implied to be Team Trio, I'm a bit skeptical. I think we're gonna need more info."

I have to say that thinking about it, it does sound fishy from Team trio...
What if they were actually the one fusing Werp to that thing?
Just think about it: Werp is defeated by the shadows, he gets absorbed. Team Trio is defeated by the shadows... They come back to town. Something definitely doesn't add up."

Char: Why would Team Trio want to stop Mewtwo from saving the world? I know! Let's just ask them! They're our friends, so nothing could go wrong, right?

Sparky: You guys are fun to listen to. Oh, I should probably go now. I have special business with important guests!
Sparky wanders off...you hear something break in the distance.

"Directly asking them if they're planning something would be insane, we don't know for sure if they're who they say they are. Heck, we don't know anything about either side of the situation outside of what we were told by one side. Maybe the first thing we should do is ask those two you guys brought back with Werp about what happened to them, and after that ask Team Trio if the name Mewtwo means anything to them."

The team heads over to the stat spring, finding that the Pokemon are awake. The Milotic seems to have left. The Kingdra appears to be crying in a corner and Werp is...being Werp.
