I was wondering if you guys want yet another version of Vitquest. Here are the changes I would make from my last version:
1.The Vending Machine inventory. It will still be relevant, but you won't have full access to it. You will start with 3 items of your choice that you have found, then will receive more when you complete certain tasks.
2.No player will be a villain. More or less. By that, I mean that no player will be working with whoever I decide the main villain(s) to be. If you want to be evil, you're free to do so, but you'll be a normal player, defined by your actions. This also means that you can't hide your plans, since you will be posting your actions in a topic instead of by PMs.
3.I might use an open world trope and make the final boss accessible from the very beginning, but I'm not sure yet.
Anyway. Just tell me if there's interests, suggestions, indignations, commentaries, ideas, etc.

I'd be good with those changes, while it tones down some of the insanity it still keeps the giant crossover concept without a fourth wall.

I might reuse the island concept of Song Tuners. By which I mean every "location" will be an island with a town, overworld area and a dungeon, as well as many optional areas.
Gonna also use the Vitgem concept. You'll have your avatar, your assist, you orb and your Vitgem. Orb summons will be limited to 1 at a time. The Vitgem will contain some of your characters and can summon 1 at a time. Basically, every player will be able to have 4 characters at a time. Your Vitgem will start empty though.
Now for the main villains... I have a hard time choosing between the Song Eaters, Quest Ruiners or the Unborn again. There's always the option of creating something new of course. Note that all islands will also have their own bad guys.

The Unborn already had their chance, I'd say go with someone else for the villains.

What do you guys prefer though...
Villains that didn't get time to shine or entirely new ones?

Well I am in despite well everytime this gets started I get hyped only for the momentum to stop and just end.
Mally here's an idea but what if we just started off completely with a brand new vending machine. Specifically designed for this version of gates.
This way new and returning players are all starting off the same. This way me and Fuzz are starting off god level characters and a new player is starting off with nothing.
Also this gives us and you the GM to assign a grade, tier, etc to the items we get. This way of someone gets ultimate ray of destruction or OP weapon capable of OTK everything. They can be assigned a rank of S and you have to either pay to unlock access or you have to compete x quest or defeat x boss to unlock that category.
I think this way we are actually being rewarded and our more powerful weapons and characters will be Something that suddenly feel like well desrved.
If you want we can do a group PM to determine an appropriate level or grade.
But yeah I think we should start with a brand new vending machine and we all start with a clean slate.

What do you guys prefer though... Villains that didn't get time to shine or entirely new ones? How about a combo of both. Mayne some of the older villians are either commanders/ generals of some new recruit villians. Maybe theres a new or orginal villian thats the secret mastermind and the real puppet master.

I am not against a new vending machine, but I'll keep the procedural inventory mechanic even if we do that. I know how fast the Vending Machine inventory can grow.

I also want to enforce that I'm not doing this if I don't have at least 3 players. I only have 2 right now.

Also Mally Senpai....... Do you have a mechanic in place where if someone can't or doesn't post there is a way to work around it without it hampering the entire game but it doesn't penalize the player who can't post.

Basically, this is another reason I'm not having someone be a villain.
The only reason a player can slow another one is if those two players are in the same scene.
I'll probably put a one week time limit and have the characters just do nothing if they pass it if they slow down another player.
