The familiar forest greets the Exploration Team with its typical shaking leaves in the trees and the scent of damp earth rises up from the ground. The peaceful forest gets thicker deeper on.

The group of two Pokemon move along quietly through the woods and soon reach a Pidgey that angrily flies at them, pecking violently. Clyde just barely avoids getting hit by the shadow as it flies past him and hits a tree. The Pidgey is only more enraged now.

The Pidgey flaps around and starts flying toward Clyde as he disappears. The Pidgey then looks around angrily as Clyde appears behind him and lets out a loud ghost noise. The attack seems to have little to no effect on the Pidgey as it latches onto Clyde with its claws and pecks mercilessly. The attack hurts, but is soon stopped as Markus enveloped the Pidgey in a psychic light and tosses it into a nearby tree. The Pidgey turns into a fog as it slams into the tree. Clyde notices his team badge's little meter go down a bit. It was unclear what the meter did along with the small five shown above it...

AUTO MISSION
Charcoal: Alright, time to train! I'll be the strongest!
Charcoal walks along the forest's damp path quickly, as usual. He soon comes to exactly what he wanted. An Exeggcute to train on. He waits for the Shadow Pokemon to move first, quickly dodging the Bullet Seed attacks until making his way over, hitting it with his tail and spitting an Ember at it. The small flame hits the shadow and it dissolves quickly. Charcoal seems quite pleased with his work as he lets out a quick cheer before running down the path again...

The two continue along the forest path and notice Charcoal just up ahead fighting an Exeggcute. He quickly defeats it with an Ember attack after dodging many Bullet Seeds. He then runs off deeper into the woods. Clyde and Markus watch a moment before continuing onward. They soon reach a Wurmple. It is holding a Persim Berry and is carrying it off to somewhere else in the forest. It seems uninterested in both of you and continues along. You could either fight the Shadow Pokemon or leave it alone.

Markus: I'll keep it in place.
As he speaks, Markus creates a blue, psychic energy around the Wurmple. The Wurmple looks to be in pain as it struggles to free itself, soon being wrapped up by Clyde. The shadow is defeated with only a moment or two longer of the two attacking. Clyde picks up the Persim Berry and stores it away as a flash of white light envelopes both Clyde and Markus. A small song comes from their badges as the number displayed goes from five to six. Markus then notices he has gained a new power. Double Team was added to his known moves! The two aren't exactly sure what just happened, but they know their exploration will be easier now.
