The two walk on ahead as they come upon something. A shadow Bulbasaur is lounging about in a pile of berries as it turns toward both of them. The eyes soon flash yellow as it stops munching on the many berries and begins to walk toward them. It's in a fighting stance.

AUTO MISSION
Charcoal continues down the path as he reaches a large group of Wurmple collecting Oran Berries from the trees. There are three Wurmples and each one holds a berry.
Charcoal: Looks like I'm going to catch some bugs!
Charcoal charges in for the first hit, scratching one of the Wurmples before knocking the others back with his tail. The attacked Wurmple quickly retaliated by running into Charcoal. His leg is hit as Charcoal is knocked over and the other two Wurmples launch poisonous stingers at him. Charcoal holds on as he finishes off the injured Wurmple with another Scratch. The other two continue to barrage him with poisonous stings as he becomes poisoned. Charcoal takes a lot of damage and his gauge on the badge is red with a purple outline. He quickly takes out an Oran Berry and eats it as his gauge fully restores. He then jumps over the first stinger and is hit by the second. Charcoal then runs up to the two Wurmples and burns one away with his tail before scratching the other. The last Wiumple tackles Charcoal before being hit by the flaming tail as well. Charcoal's gauge reaches yellow again as he quickly eats another Oran Berry to restore his health and continues on through the forest, running, in hopes of quickly ending this mission. As he runs, another flash of light coats him...

Markus starts with a Growl as he intimidates the Bulbasaur. The Bulbasaur won't stop just because of a little intimidation though. It readies itself for a Razor Leaf attack, but soon notices the obvious absence of Clyde. The Bulbasaur looks around in a confused way before turning around as Clyde appears suddenly, running into Bulbasaur. The Bulbasaur is injured a bit and is startled, missing completely when tossing its Razor Leaf.

Charcoal continues to run through the forest while blasting flames at all the Shadow Pokemon he sees. With his new Ember move, Charcoal easily defeats nearly everything he runs into. He quickly takes down many Pokemon as his level rises to eight. Charcoal isn't finished yet though. He continues to train on the Shadow Pokemon, exploiting their weakness to grow stronger. He defeats hordes of Wurmple and Exeggcute and soon reaches level nine. Charcoal does feel rather weak afterwards, though. He nearly collapses as he eats another Oran Berry. Charcoal's gauge goes from red back up to full as he continues to explore. He soon, however, reaches a stash of many berries. He slowly walks on towards them and hears fighting from somewhere else. Charcoal begins to run in the direction of the fighting, but a Chickorita soon jumps down from the top of the berry pile. Charcoal stares down with the Chickorita as they both prepare for battle.

The Bulbasaur starts up a Vine Whip attack as vines appear from the bulb. They start to whip at Clyde and Markus, but Markus soon begins to control the vines, whipping them back at Bulbasaur and blasting him with psychic energy. Clyde then wraps himself around the Bulbasaur and begins to squeeze him, damaging the Bulbasaur. It looks very weak and can't move, but as the battle continues, a Chickorita and Charcoal both come running from behind the berry stash as he tosses rapid fire Ember at it! The Chickorita comes running in and hides behind Markus as Charcoal accidentally hits him with an Ember. Ouch, that hurt! Markus' gauge lowers down by about one third.

Markus' eyes flash blue again as he splits into three. Clyde continues to Constrict the Bulbasaur tightly. Charcoal hits Chickorita with an Ember, dealing quite a bit of damage, but it then dashes forward, knocking Charcoal over as it steals his Oran Berry. Chickorita then feeds the Oran Berry to Bulbasaur, fully healing it as it shakes off Clyde. Bulbasaur then walks over the the huge stash of berries before jumping into it. It's starting to rapidly eat them all!
