First Response

Serena calls out a Water Elemental.  It starts spraying water at the flames.  The room cools down a bit, but the air is still unpleasantly hot.  Nothing she can't tolerate for a few minutes.  She concentrates and activates her Aura of Purity.  The smoke in the air around her - about half the room - disappears.  "Good.  I can breath again.  How're you doing, Sosa?"

"Yip, yip!"  Sosa seems to be ready to go.

"Heeeey!  Is anyone out there!?" Serena calls out.  It's kind of hard to hear over the crackling flames, but someone calls back in a foreign language.  Serena can't recognize it.  She speaks common, of course, and a bit of Elvish and enough Abyssal to cast spells.  She knows a few simple phrases in most of the major languages, but she doesn't know enough to place this panicked babble.

Serena opens the door and peeks out.  There's a pair of ogres holding a third, elderly - and particularly large - ogre.  They're struggling to get down the stairs step by step, coughing and choking...

"I'm here to help!" Serena calls out.  She repeats the phrase in ogre-speak as best she can.

The water elemental is still spraying whatever it can find.

(A) Use Enlarge Person to get bigger and help carry the big one down (Level 1 remaining: 4)
(B) Use Reduce Person to make the big one smaller (Level 1 remaining: 4)
(C) Use Fly to let the big one fly (Level 3 remaining: 2)
(D) Use Tongues to figure out what they're saying (Level 3 remaining: 2)

D, we need to be able to communicate.

Then we can use B.

As Serena runs to the ogres - well, hovers over on her broom - she casts Tongues.  The ogres look confused as the air around them suddenly becomes pure and smoke-free.  "Hello!  I am here to help!" Serena says.

"Hello!  We are dying!" one of the ogres says.

Ho, boy.  These things aren't very smart...  Serena braces herself for this.  Short sentences, simple words.  She points at the ogre the other two are carrying.  "She can't walk?"  It seems obvious, but with ogres it's a good idea to ask.

"She can't walk!" the ogre says.

"OK.  I'm going to make her small with magic.  She'll get big again later."

"OK," all three ogres answer in unison.

Serena touches Sosa's head as a focus for the spell.  She places a hand on the ogre grandma(?) and she shrinks down to about half her former size.  The pair of other ogres are now having no trouble carrying her down the stairs.

The water elemental continues to spray any fire it sees, but this building's probably hosed.  It won't be too long before it collapses, but there doesn't seem to be an imminent threat.  Serena's still handling the heat fine, and her aura will hold out a bit longer.

"Do you know where anyone else is?  Anyone who might be hurt or trapped?"

"Yes!  We heard someone calling for help from the room below ours!"

"OK.  Which one is your room?" Serena asks.

The ogres point.  Serena thinks for a second...  OK, that would probably put them in room 413.  She makes a mental note.

(A) Take the ogres all the way out
(B) Send them with the water elemental and go check 413
(C) Send them on their own and go check 413
(D) Send Sosa to 413 while you take the ogres out
(E) Send Sosa to take the ogres while you check 413

E

Tell the water thing to move the bookshelf off her then drag her out.

Ummm not sure if its strong enough to push a book shelf.

I say lets go ahead and do the waking her up and making her conscious thing.
