Name: Age: Gender: Race: (Human, Elf, Dwarf, Halfling or any humanoid you can think of. Avoid anything that could be a Note Beast. Example: Angels, Demons, Lizardmen, Orcs, Fairies, Machines, etc.) Element: (Neutral, Water, Fire, Plant, Thunder, Darkness, Light, Cosmic, Poison, Earth, Wind, Ice, Machine)à Instrument: Weapon: (optional, some conductors use only magic) Starting Skills: (Pick 3. Remember that you have no basic attacks.) Description: Backstory: (Optional) Job: (What's your job in this fantasy world?) Starting Note:
***Notes***
Element is the element of your character. It will determine his/her resistances and weaknesses. Note that it's not a complete circle of X element beats Y element. I will go with logic here. For example, a plant creature which has water as an element would probably be weak to thunder and fire.
Your job is not optional. It will determine your whereabouts at the start of the game. Not that it can be anything that makes sense in a fantasy world. Librarian, Blacksmith, Adventurer, Teacher, Bounty Hunter, etc. You can also be a student at the conductor's school.
This is a PVE game, but the players are not forced to cooperate with each other. There are no guilds in this version though.
You don't sign-up your starting Note Beast, because you will receive it in-game.
In this game, the GM, me, doesn't keep track of your skills or bestiary. You have a Compendium, where you should make your own notes. Note that this is not lazyness on my part. It was central to the old games, so I'm keeping it.
Feel free to ask any questions.

Just realised I dun-goofed. If you're not a student, you'll already have your first Note Beast. Here's how to sign them up:
Element: (Same choices) Song: (Post the song to summon you Beast with. Note that I am the one deciding what your Beast is depending on the song and element.)

Name: Odette
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Element: Dark
Instrument: Violin
Weapon: A giant ass scythe she pulls out of somewhere, but seems to be completely absent out of battle. Rumor has it that it's somehow hidden in her cleavage even though that makes no sense.
Starting Skills Slash - A basic slashing attack using a scythe Mind Crush - A dark element attack where the user causes an enemy's mind to shatter, damaging them and potentially inflicting confusion Elegy - A solemn song is played on the violin and all enemies hearing it will feel disheartened, lowering their defenses
Description: Odette is around average height. She has pale skin and dark, long hair. Her eyes are dark as well. She wears a typical school uniform with a shirt, blazer, and skirt complete with black socks and shoes. She's well endowed. Odette is a quiet and serious person. She enjoys deep mysteries and well thought out works of fiction. When it comes to missions, she focuses on doing anything to clear it and doesn't really care about costs.
Backstory: Odette was a normal girl living in the largest city. She grew up mostly alone, reading books. Not much worthy of note happened with her, but she's always been a good student. She decided she wanted to go to the Note Beast school because it seemed the best school in the area.
Job: Student

Well I could just sign Jonathan up, but after two Song Summoner games of him having Frostoise the possibility of him having something else as his starting Note Beast seems kind of wrong and he never really stood out as that different from my other characters (with the exception of his stricter personality in Apocalypse which was only because of the events that happened between the two games). Cedar from Song Tuners is an interesting thought since he already has an instrument and it would be neat to see him in a game with combat, but once again unless he was able to specifically get an owl Note Beast for a start and name it after the owl he has in that game it wouldn't seem right. I'd still like to recycle a (decently reworked) character that never had much of a chance in the game they came with, soI guess I'll go with...
Name: Chetwyn Age: 23 Gender: Male Element: Wind Instrument: Flute Weapon: Bow (primary weapon), Knife (secondary weapon used in a few attacks) Skills: Gale Shot Fire an arrow cloaked in wind at a target. Deals physical wind damage. High Jump Create a momentary updraft used to leap high into the air. Can be used to reach high up places as well as push back enemies that are too close. Vortex Trap Surround an enemy with powerful inwards blowing winds, preventing them from moving. Trapped enemies can still used ranged attacks and attack enemies within their reach, but their evasion is reduced to 0. May not work or only partially work on particularly large enemies. Description: Chetwyn has light brown messy hair and green eyes, a bit of a scraggly beard, and is of average height. He generally wears a light brown tunic with pants and handmade leather boots. He's got a bit of a laid-back attitude, generally not getting too worked up over anything. Job: Hunter
And for his Note Beast: Element: Wind Song: It's entirely up to you of course, but something like a bird or a canine that would be of particular help to a hunter would certainly be appreciated.

Name: Elegra Sylvant Age: 363 (or elf equivalent of 24) Gender: Female Race: Elf
Element: Plant Instrument: Castinets Weapon: Broadsword
Starting Skills: Crescent Slash - A slow, powerful cut
Bloom - Moves first. Quickly stab the sword in the ground. Become helpless for the round, then unleash a large vine to smash an area.
Take Root/Uproot - Vines from her legs sink into the ground to prevent movement, knockback, evasion, etc, but provide healing each turn. Using the skill again removes the effect.
Description: Elegra is hardly the vision of Elven beauty and grace. She's very short for an elf (average for a human), her ears aren't as pointy as they should be, and her hair's a muddy-blonde mess. A lot of people joke that she's half-dwarf. She wears a short, sleeveless tunic, bracers, and a pair of barefoot sandals, all made of leaves and ivy. She keeps her broadsword in a leather scabbard across her back.
Backstory: Elegra doesn't really know why she wants to be a conductor. She just knows she doesn't want to live among elves anymore.
Job: Student
Starting Note: None.

Age. It can be anything, but I would say 8 years old minimum. It's not a conventional school, it's a school to become a Conductor. Whenever people wants to get a Note Beast, they can sign up for the school.
Of course, you'll be in classes of people around your age.
Starting Note I was very dumb about and I'm laughing my ass off. The current "Starting Note" that is in the sign-ups is basically "Extra Info". You get your starting note in-game if you're a student. They are gonna be the same elements as human characters though.

---Fuzz---
Your Note Beast is a parrot with a light green belly. The rest of it's feathers are dark green. It has bright blue eyes and deer-like antlers. It is as big as a hawk. This Note Beast can speak simple sentences.
Name: Gender: (Optional. If left empty, I'll just always use "it") Skills: (Pick 2 skills for your Note Beast.)
(I found it hilarious that you asked for a bird. As soon as I pressed play, before reading your post, I saw a parrot.)

Question, are the previous Song Summoner games Canon here?

No. Unless this takes place a long time before the other two. Or unless this takes place far into the future after the world is restored after the Symphony Summon.

I was actually considering wether the war is the events of Apocalypse, but decided against the previous games being canon.
Altough I might have Rachel show up, she traveled through time, traveling through a multiverse isn't farfetched.
