Mattea pulls out the bowl of beef and rice, then tosses you the chicken bowl and fork. She flops down on the couch and stretches, leaving just enough room for you to squeeze in. She immediately starts wolfing down the food. "Beat? Yeah... Had to haul a bunch of stuff around... Eh. People seemed pretty happy so whatever, I guess it was worth it."

Tai nods. "Yeah. It's not my kind of thing either. Guess that makes me sound kind of like an ass, though. But it seems like you're doing pretty damn good as president so far. Might be turning out to be more work than you though, huh?" Tai gives her a tired smirk.

"Yeah, well. Worth it." Mattea grins. "The power's nice. And anything to piss off that bitch, Alice." She pauses, then puts down her bowl and turns to you excitedly.
"Oh, yeah. That reminds me. She's getting out of the hospital tomorrow. More importantly... Monday's the day she has to show up to school in that outfit I picked out for her." An evil grin washes across Mattea's face. "It does have to follow the school dress code, but turns out while there's lots of rules about what your clothes can look like, there's no rule that you have to wear clothes. I picked out a nice, skimpy bikini. Heh heh heh..."
Mattea returns to her bowl, more chipper than before. She stops again, but this time doesn't put her dinner down. "You don't think I'm being too mean, right? She did pull my pants down at that play back then."

"Petty, huh..." Mattea mutters. She flips around and flops up against you. "Maybe I am being an asshole."
She thinks quietly as she eats for a few minutes. "Nah. I mean. The whole pantsing thing was back in our freshman year, but... Christ. I had the lead role in our fucking play, and right at the start of my big monologue she just... ripped my pants down. In front of the whole school, the parents, teachers... Fuck. And, yeah, fine. It probably was an accident." Mattea scowls. "But that bitch never even apologized for it! Just 'it was an accident' this and 'it wasn't my fault' that. Not even a simple fucking 'sorry.' For her best friend! We were super-close before she not only ruined my big moment, but made me a huge laughing stock 0 then didn't even have the balls to own up to it!?" Mattea has a scary look on her face. "Nah. Fuck her. Maybe I'll call us even after I humiliate her a little. Maybe. But... just... fuck her."

Tai shrugs. "Do whatever the fuck you want. I'm not gonna stop you and I pity the dumbass who tries." Tia stares off into space. After a moment he says, "Yeah, I guess I'd want at least an apology too. I'd probably do fuck all anyways. Get transferred to another new school it I did try something. But fuck that. I want to just finish this year and..." He trails off.

She waits for you to finish while she goes back to her dinner. "Yeah?" she asks through a mouthful of beef.

Tai sighs, eating some more of his food. "Yeah, I just want to finish this year eithout having to transfer schools."

Tai looks down at her, taking in her frame. He doesn't say anything for a bit. He breathes deeply and calmly in a rhythm almost.
Finally, he disturbs the silence and says quietly, "When the hell did I start talking so much and so openly..."

Tai's expression conveys his awkward feeling pretty well.
"Well, uh, I don't know what the fuck kind of move I'm supposed to make. Yeah. That sounds cringey as hell. But... damnit. I guess I'm too damn caught up in my stupid shit. Sorry Mattea." Tai looks kind of uncomfortable all the sudden. He shifts a hit and looks kind of sad, like a kicked dog, or a dog that kicked itself.
