(Before I have Dewey answer that, is it still afternoon or is it time to move to evening phase?)

Dewey looks up at the clock, realizing he lost track of time.
“It’s getting late... I still need to go buy some things at the mall for tonight, if you want to come with me we might be able to find everything quicker, otherwise I’ll see you at the park tonight.”

You head to your house, Tia still following after you.  It doesn't take you long to finish getting your supplies together.


Tai, Nora

When you get to Mattea's house, you find a nice, two-story home.  She leads everyone in to a spacious living room with a large television, wide couch, and a well-worn armchair.  She walks over to a large cabinet loaded with different types of alcohol and picks out a bottle of wine.  She starts pouring a few glasses.  "Right, who wants some?"

Alice takes a seat on the couch and raises her hand.

Natusmi pauses to leave her shoes by the door before joining everyone.  "I'll have a bit.  A little less than last time, though..."

"Sure.  Oh, Tai, can you pick out some crappy old movie?  Let's see...  So what are we gonna play?  Last time we played... Twister.  That was pretty fun.  We've also got a few board games to pick from.  Drunk Monopoly might be fun."

Alice crosses her legs and smirks.  "Why, Mattea, dear.  Whatever happened to your suggestion of strip poker?" she taunts.

"My, I had no idea you were interested in such obscene things," Mattea answers in false indignation.  "A shame Sachi's not here, but let me slip on some sandals and I'll take you on without hesitation, bikini or no."

Natsumi sips her drink.  "Twister was fun, I wouldn't mind doing that again. But I'm up for whatever!"

Nora sits down on the couch by Alice, and casually stretches out over it like a cat, her arms dangling over the side of the couch and her legs dangling over the front. "I'll take a glass, dear. I'm curious to see how our tastes compare. Oh, and where are my manners. You have a lovely home."

Then she grins. "I think I'll simply watch and enjoy the first round of whatever you decide to do. But I might be willing to join in before the night is out. Have to give you something worthwhile to play for, hm?"

"Yes!  Wait.  No.  Portals open later.  We can talk about ducks more!" Tia says.  You spend some time reviewing the stuff you studied before, then head to the park.

Move to Park.


Tai, Nora

Mattea pumps a fist.  "Whoo!  Alright.  I'll be back in a sec.  You guys can shuffle the decks while I'm gone."  She stops to hand Nora her drink - quietly slipping her an ace of hearts in the other hand - then heads upstairs.

Natsumi thinks to herself.  "Strip poker...  I've never played, but I'm not very good at normal poker...  This should be interesting, at least."

"You should put your shoes back on."  Alice smiles.  "Also, you should probably do your best to undermine Mattea.  She's the biggest threat by far."

Mattea returns with a sunhat, jacket, and sandals.  "Right!  Strip poker! Let's see.  Usual poker rules, draw five, replace up to three, aces high.  Usually it's worst hand strips, but instead the winner with the best hand gets to pick someone to take something off!  If you fold you can't be chosen, bu-u-u-u-ut if all but one person folds, they all strip!  You lose whenever you decide to drop out.  Easy, right?  Oh, and jewelry doesn't count.  Also, and I don't think I need to say if for you guys, but if you ever run this yourself make sure you add a 'no cameras' rule."

Natsumi quickly finishes her drink, then mimics Mattea's earlier gesture. "Alright! Let's have a good, fair game."

"Let me pour you another glass," Mattea says.  "Any questions Tai?  Alice?"

Alice seems lost in thought, already planning around these new rules.

Nora, Tai

"Oh?  I'm the biggest threat to her, for sure, but whatever could she mean by that, I wonder..." Mattea says.  "That I'm bloodthirsty, or perhaps that I'm not going to be intimidated?  Either way, I'll take it as a compliment."

Mattea passes out everyone's hand.  She frowns, then exchanges three cards.  Alice keeps a completely blank expression as she switches out three.

Natsumi smiles as she swaps two.  "Um...  Is there a list of what all the hand thingies are somewhere?"

Mattea hands her a small booklet that was tucked in with the deck.  "Staying in or folding, Nutty?  You should probably fold the first few hands until you get the hang of it if you're not sure.  Something tells me this group won't have everyone fold very often."

Natsumi's smile widens as she reads and she shakes her head.  "Nope!  I'm staying in.  Then I get to tell someone to take something off, right?"  She briefly looks around.

"If they don't fold," Mattea reminds her.  "Speaking of which, I think I'll fold this hand."

"Fold," Alice repeats, placing her cards facedown.
