Karl gets out of bed, and begins his morning ritual of pouring milk into a bowl of pop-tarts for consumption. While eating this healthy snack, he begins to reflect. Things start to align in his mind, things begin to make sense. Yes, he has been misdirected from his true goals! He must pursue the destruction of the ferret mafia immediately! But it seems like they've put some pills or something in the water that makes people less receptive to this. He needs to find a way to put the pill into the poptart, so to say, to get people on his side against the ferret mafia without really telling them about it. God, those kale chips he put in his cereal taste really weird. Must've been stale.

Karl will proudly head to the chili cook off, as that is where he is most likely to be able to spread the message.

Nora is going to go to the mall.

Hoping she practiced enough, Leia will gather all the recipes she printed, carefully order them and leave for the cook-off

Dewey drags himself out of bed a little later than usual. He’s been trying to hide it, but all these long nights have been starting to add up. Regardless, he pulls out a map of the city he picked up a while back and starts groggily searching it for anywhere that could be housing a portal to the machine labyrinth. Factories, auto shops, clock towers (doubt there’s one of those here, but fwiw it’d make a cool Other World location), anything remotely metallic or mechanical.
Two more days... If we can do this right, just two more days of this and I can get some rest...

You finish unpacking. You're finally settled - enough - in to your new home. But a new home means a new school, too. The student body president offered to meet up with you tonight for dinner as a welcome. Might be nice.... maybe. You should probably let her know whether you're joining. She said she'd normally do lunch, but she's going to be busy at the school's chili cook-off all day at the big park. That might be a nice place to get an idea what type of students you'll be dealing with until the next move. Or maybe it'd be better to scout out the town?

You start poring over some maps of the town looking for anything machine-y. Factories? Plenty. There's a whole industrial district. There's one that you've heard the Occult club's been hanging out at sometimes lately, for... some reason... And a few of those members are involved with all this Otherworld stuff. Maybe there's something to that. A few auto shops, kinda spread out randomly around the downtown area. Machines... buses are machines. The bus depot exists. And there's a big train station, too. Clock towers? None of that, other than a few digital- wait, no. One of the churches near the edge of town has one built into it. Oh, and then there's Vitcorp. Maybe they aren't a manufacturing facility, but they do pump out new inventions at an impresive rate... What was the last one? A refridgerator/oven hybrid that could be programmed to heat the stored food and have it waiting just when you got home?

Natsumi takes her time responding... Not surprising, after last night. "I was supposed to hang out with Leia and her cat ㅇㅅㅇ this afternoon but I think she forgot how long the chili thing would last (╯·╰) I'll just bug her more about it tomorrow ¯\_(ツ)_/¯" It takes a bit for her next message. "Let's meet at my house. Still sad you didn't get to paint me at the festival, but glad I finally get to see what cute ^w^ design you came up with! Can't wait o(≧▽≦)o"

Despite not looking any better than he did the moment he rolled out of bed, Gabriel decides to go out exploring the town. He picks up a bottle of water and an apple, slides on a pair of well-worn shoes, and sets out. He decides his general aim is to find any retail that might useful to find tools and hardware, but knows he'll never find the obscure local places without asking at the chain retail first.

After walking for about twenty minutes and having long since finished his impromptu "breakfast", being treated to a good dinner sounds better and better. After considering that he has nothing to lose, Gabriel decides to let the student body president know that he's free and would like to meet for dinner after all.

Gabriel will head for the mall first, but will see if he can also make time to check out downtown before dinner.
