Floyd hops out the door in his pajamas after taking in the damage he shoots everyone he can think of a text 'Hey R U OK wind went crazy though you probably already noticed that reply ASAP please'

Nora continues to look out the window for a few minutes, her hands slightly trembling. A sudden tornado, with no warning at all...? What in the world...?

"Nora! Are you all right?"

Her aunt's raised voice reaches through the door, followed by the door opening shortly after. Nora gives a small shrug, not knowing how else to respond.

"I'm fine," she says after a moment. "Window's fine, no damage here. Though it's clear plenty of other buildings around here weren't so lucky."

Her aunt sighed and rubbed her eyes. She looked... tired. Tired and weary. Nora felt a pang of guilt, but quickly stomped it down. It wasn't her fault they were stuck in this city, thousands of miles away from home, where even the weather seemed to be abnormal.

"I'm fine, Auntie. Really. You can go back to sleep, all right?"

She nods, says goodnight and leaves, the door closing with a quiet thud. Nora sits down on the edge of her bed in silence for a few minutes, her mind spinning. The silence is broken by soft laughter- her own, she finds to her surprise.

I must be going insane. Either that, or I've gone and stumbled down the rabbit hole...

She spends some time reading to calm herself before going back to bed, but she doesn't get much more sleep that night.

Floyd breathes a sigh of relief and rubs his Soul Key gently in his pocket half out of habit half to make sure he's not still asleep

As he is woken up by all of the noise, Gabriel hastily grabs a pillow and ducks down on the far side of his room, as far away from the exterior as he can manage. Before he can even cover his head, the noise stops, and he sits for a few minutes in silence, unwilling to move. After he finds the courage to see what has just happened now that everything has gone still, he goes to his little window, and can't quite make sense of what just happened. Pulling on a worn pair of boots, he goes to the door and cautiously steps out on the porch to take it all in.

Shortly after he's had enough of the spectacle, Gabriel decides he should check in with someone else in this city. Deciding that it would probably be better to talk to Mattea during the day, he settles on texting Aron.

"Are you safe where you are? The whole area around me is wrecked. It looks like a tornado, but my trailer is still here. What just happened?"

"I can cobble something together to keep things running here. Give me a shout if you need some help, tools, or spare parts. I have a load of that crap sitting around."

Gabriel starts walking around the trailer, and kicks a section of the metal skirt more or less back into place, setting a neighbor's dog off barking. Fortunately, it seems to be safely inside, based on how it does sound a little muffled.

"I wonder-... Was that dog barking during the wind, and I just couldn't hear it? Did it try to warn everyone?"

Once he's satisfied with the condition of his home and the debris he's cleared away from his window- the rest of the family can clean their own- he heads back inside, and sinks into the couch while wondering what really happened.
