Karl, freaked out, will run into the open door.

You head back outside. Your soul keys appear in your hand, and you're back in your regular outfits.

You can see two other people about your age disappearing around a corner. You're relatively sure it was Moonlight, but they had their faces covered. Well, they wore masks the whole time you were inside, so it seems pretty likely that was them...

You head into the mall, avoiding the portal as you step through the doors. You make your way to a store near the fountain and find two things. First, all the statue's fountains are gone. Second, a man in a Vitcorp uniform is sitting, asleep, against a wall.

He wakes up as you get closer. He stretches, yawns, and stands up. "The package... Finally. You guys must've had a real hard time finding this place. Oh, well. You must be tired, so you should head home. Your checks should arrive Monday or Tuesday."

A huge crowd of people begins parading out of the store behind him.

"...Huh."

Leia stares at the Vitcorp employee.

"Hum... Okay mister... Do we keep the Soul Keys?"

Leia tries not to look at any portal or person coming from a portal as so to not be connected to them.

Tai, Dewey, Karl

Some guy comes up and starts talking to you about being stuck in another world. Probably just one of the statue guys. One that's taking it better than the rest.

Fox and Katie walk through the portal and join you.

"The what key? Uh. I dunno what the company policy is on deliverymen and keeping keys. I'm not in the supply chain department." The guy shrugs. "I guess?"

"Yeah, whatever. No big deal." Tai says, somewhat disinterested.


He turns to Katie and Fox. "Took you brats long enough, what did y'all stop for to hold hands?" He says teasingly.

Tai's face contorts. "Geez, you two are sickeningly cute..." He sighs. "Here's my number. Only for emergencies. If your asses are in trouble then call me. But I swear if either of you prank call me I'll skin you both alive." He says the last part only slightly threateningly, his tone not exactly irritated, more just a tired neutral. Actually, he did feel pretty tired.

"Huh? Who is this girl, anyway? Some manifestation of the wills of the ferret mafia?"
