Karl looks deep into the distance, eyes glazing over a bit, for too long for it to be comfortable to anyone else. Nobody knows what exactly went through Karl's mind on that day, except him, because his thoughts, while always projected outwards, never were really completely preserved from their inception to their projection, you see?
Karl puts his hands up and salutes Somnis.
"I ACCEPT THESE DUTIES! WITH ALL OF MY HEART AND SOUL!" While looking at her and saluting he grabs a poptart with his other hand and finagles with the foil on it, struggling to get it open.
