You arrive at the mall to find it as bustling as you would expect on a Saturday morning... but you notice there's fewer of your schoolmates here than normal.
Tom is sitting around the cafe, having a cup of coffee.
Dewey and Lisa are poking around the electronics store.
And Mareena is upstairs, just now opening up her shop - a bit later than normal.
Sam
"I've been here a few days. Well actually I've lived in Vitcity my whole life. Kinda. I lived on kind of the outskirts of town, y'know. So the city proper is still really new to me." He pokes at the pie more. He seems to be struggling with holding the silverware correctly. "I guess I'm a, uh, bit of a country bumpkin."
A waitress brings you your fruit smoothie just as Leia and Jimmy walk in.
Leia
You head over to the cafe to notice two of the newer students at the school eating together. The one with the brown hair - Grant - is poking at some pie while Sam is just receiving a smoothie.
Jimmy glances their way. "Huh, that pie looks pretty good..."

"Oh, I c-couldn't bother them on their, uh... they look like they're on a, y'know... d-date," Jimmy stammers. "Besides, this place usually has a daily pie special, that's... probably what that is."
A waitress walks over to the two of you and asks what you'd like.
"I'll, uh, have a slice of pie," Jimmy says. He looks over at you.

I use to live in the big city before my parents work brought me here. The one thing about the city is that life was always so busy and moving so fast. You never really have the time to stop and just take in your surroundings. You know stop and smell the roses.
There's nothing wrong with having to live out in the countries. I am sure it had many wonderful things out there. Umm if you want though I can show you how to use your Silver ware?
Sam then slightly looks in the direction of the two people that just entered. "I kinda of noticed the two people that walked in have been staring towards us,". "Do you know them, are they friends of yours?" Sam asks.

"Um... A milkshake?" Jimmy suggests.
"...Sure," the waitress says. She brings one back along with the slice of pie.
Jimmy stares at you after she leaves. "Normal? Why... normal?"

"I know... how to use them, it's just that my hands don't... wanna... cooperate..." Grant mutters as he struggles. "Friends? Not really. I think they go to our school? But I've never really spoken to them."

"What? No, I'm just not used to using these things. I, uh... just need more practice. It's fine," Grant assures you. "This pie stuff's good, though."

You enter the electronics store just as Dewey is leaving. Lisa continues to stare at some shelves with parts for making custom circuitry. She gives you a glance as you enter, then goes back to browsing.
The electronics shop is fairly well-stocked for such a small business.

"Uh, I mean, uh, well... that is..." Jimmy fumbles hard. "I mean I don't really think you're normal but I kinda like that about you but if you wanna say you're normal then who am I to argue?" he spews rapidly.
