You walk towards the counter, not leaning towards a particular employee. Therefore, the elf centers herself towards you and serves you.

Lavia: "Yes my dear, I'll do that right now! Here's some money for the first pelt!"

She goes in the back, then returns after a few minutes with a gray furred coat.

Lavia: "There you go, you should be able to survive colder places with this... Maybe not a frozen summit, but definitely a cave during the night.

Anything else I can do for you?"

With the money she gave you, you still have money for one or two things.

You leave the marketplace to go to the forge. It's full of people, but it was to be expected on the day new students arrived.

Standing out of the crowd is a little boy with dirty clothes, holding a weird Notr Beast. A tiny furry creature with a long nose. The boy seems to be looking at the other people's weapons, in awe.

On the other side of the counter stands an old man. Old, but clealry in shape. His hair are still brown, his brown eyes full of life. He seems to be serving the customers. Behind him, you can see a bulky dark brown furry creature. Nothing similar to that boy's Beast though. The blacksmith's Note Beast is a very intimidating humanoid creature. It has bear-like claws. It's face reminds you of a crocodile, even though the creature has fur instead of scales. The Note Beast is wearing a full set of Iron Armor. It seems to be forging weapons with a big hammer.

You see the corner where you can forge yourself, but obviously, all the anvils are used. You're not going to be able to use them today.

(No, as explained earlier by either Raymond or Rupert, Melodis' forge also sells weapons.

There's just a spot where you can craft stuff yourself.)

The blacksmith eventually answers you amongst the waves of customers he has.

Winston: "Hmm... Yes. I should have that.

Let me think...

Are you looking for a bow specialized against beast monsters or one that makes the attacks of your own elements more effective against creatures weak to it?"

The old man whistles, at which point the Note Beast in the back looks at him.

Winston: "One Beast Bow please!"

The creature stops forging, and disappears in a room. It comes back with a bow full of fur on it, gives it to the man and goes back to forging weapons. The blacksmith hands the bow to you. You don't have enough money to buy anything after that.

Winston: "Thank you for buying! Have a nice day!"

You get out of the forge, then start going home, when you see what looks like a shadow disappearing behing the chimney, on the roof of a house, just before you walk into the forest.

Raymond: "Have a nice day Chetwyn!"

A woman in a military-looking outfit comes through the gate, followed by what looks like a brown coat with no one under it. The woman has eyes of a different color. She walks into the forest, seemingly determined.

The woman turns around and seems to inspect you.

Eurya: "Not really, I just had my first Note Beast. Other students are training right now, but well... I have a military training. I don't see myself training with them, so I'm gonna fight real monsters inside the forest.

Don't worry about me, I lived through worse than this forest."

She turns around, but before she starts walking, she looks at you again.

Eurya: "Actually, I've seen some shadows on the corner of my eyes. Warned the guards, but they're not making much of it... If something bad happens in town, I don't want to be inside it, you know?"
