You walk to the park. Freya seems full of pep when you get there. Natsumi's already seems a bit tired.
"OK! We should already be warmed up from that walk, so no need for all that stretching. Tai! It's your first time here, so... The park trail winds through that little forest over there. It's easy to follow. We're going down the red path at all the splits, a total of 3.2 miles. We're gonna knock it out in thirty minutes! Nothing hard, just a nice little run."
"Y-yeah..." Natsumi cheers.
The three of you run down the path at a brisk jog. Freya has absolutely no trouble. You just can't keep up with her. Natsumi manages to keep up better than you expected, considering she's wearing flip-flops.
About two-thirds of the way through the jog, Natsumi gasps and trips. She lands flat on her face. "...Ow."
Freya stops. "Oof. You OK, Natty?"
"Yeah... Just still not used to the new shoes."
"I keep telling you you shouldn't run in sandals," Freya says. "What happened to your old pair, anyway?"
"I, uh... lost them. At the beach the other day."
"Lost them? That's not like you..." Freya mutters.
"It's not that I just lost them, they sorta... fell off. And one of them was destroyed beyond repair. Right, Tai? You were there." Natsumi sits up. Her knee's skinned and bleeding a bit.

"Yeah. They were definitely not wearable..." Tai says. "Not bad keeping up by the way. You could definitely stand to stop being so clumsy, though. Geez, did Buttons curse you or something?"
He bends down to look at her bleeding knee. "Either of you got a bandage?"

Natsumi thinks. "I guess I could tear off some of my..."
"No," Freya interjects. "Something tiny like that doesn't need a bandage, anyway. Just rub some dirt on it."
"Aw, won't you kiss it better?" Natsumi teases.
"Yeah, right. Come on, get up."
"Alright, alright..." Natsumi rolls herself up. "He's right, though. Maybe I should start carrying bandages." She pauses to jab you in the chest. "And Buttons couldn't curse me even if he wanted to!"
"Yeah, yeah, c'mon! Let's get back to our run! We're already pushing our time..."

"Yeah, Tai! What's she ever done to you?" Freya sticks her hands on her hips.

"I'm sure they're great?"
"They're amazing! I put my heart, love, and soul into every stroke!" Natsumi says. "And you've never even seen my secret trump card, either."
You manage to cross the finish line, just barely making time.
Tai's Proficiency increases!
"That was fun!" Freya says. "Think I'm going to go another lap or two. See you two lovebirds around!"
You can tell Natsumi has some snarky comment, but she's too out of breath to make it. She settles for a dismissive wave.
Looks like you're done here. You were planning to hang out with Mattea tonight. It you're skipping it for something, you should at least shoot her a text.

So?" Tai waits with his hands in his pockets and a look of anticipation, waiting for a response. He plays it cool to avoid looking as if he actually cared about her attendance.

You head to the park. You can't even tell there was a festival here yesterday.
You run into Raine (or maybe Freya?) as she's leaving. Fox gives her a hug, then goes from waving goodbye to her to waving hi to you. You also notice Avalon and Grant hanging out by the river. She seems to be singing, and he's standing behind her. Awkwardly. Kinda creepily, if you're honest about it.
"Hey, Dewey!" Fox calls. "You made it! And perfect timing, too! Great!"
