You sit down on the rock. Katie starts to join you, then hesitates. She climbs halfway on the rock, kicks out of her shoes, then wiggles over next to you. A few minutes later, you can hear her snoring softly. You wait for Natsumi and Freya to come out of the portal, but...

Sunday, September 30
Floyd
You wake up, sore and uncomfortable, on a large flat rock in the middle of the woods. For a moment, you're extremely confused about who what where when why you're here. Then you notice you're underneath a blanket you remember seeing the night before, at that picnic. Something bumps against your side, and you notice Katie curled up beside you. You look around for a moment, but find no sign of Natsumi or Freya - it worries you for a moment, then you realize their shoes are gone so they're probably not trapped in the Otherworld or kidnapped or anything.
A small sheet of paper sitting next to you has two phone numbers, and a message saying to text them when you wake up so the older girls know you're OK.
You also notice a small box sitting next to you with a different note and different handwriting. "To Floyd - A gift, just for you <3." The box says "Basic Crafting Kit" and also has a small ticket next to it that says "Rank 2-5." Weird.
Today's the morning to meet at the warehouse if you want to work on Buttons' thing. And today was Freya's birthday. Raine, too.

Floyd's face lights up as he reads the notes stuffing the otherworld junk into his pockets and tecting Natsumi and Freya 'We're good on this end glad you did OK see you tonight' that done he gently wakes Katie up again

You head over to the park to go for a walk. When you arrive, you notice a few people you recognize from school hanging out around the park.
The white-haired, feminine-looking guy from the wrestling club is sitting on a low-hanging branch along with Mareena. The two seem to be talking and laughing about something.
Grant is sitting at one of the tables with a guy with long, brown hair and big headphones. The punk-looking guy is strumming a guitar and seems to be showing Grant how it works.
You don't see anyone in the forest.
Floyd
You poke Katie until she wakes up with a start. She rolls over, sits up, and rubs her eyes. Then she immediately starts fumbling for her phone and sends a few messages. "Mom's gonna be ma-a-a-a-ad..." she whispers quietly. "...Hey Floyd. Last night was fun, huh? I'm still kinda sore, though. And this rock-bed didn't help. I'll need a few days before we do something like that again." She yawns. "I should go home 'n' change..."

Floyd chuckles as he begins to stretch "At this rate I think the only way we can go out without ending up in the otherworld is if you come over my place or vice versa no portals there I'm pretty sure anyways I better run if I want to get it to the Occult Thing on time glad you had fun hope the rest of your week-end is as well" he says before dashing off to Vitcity and the Warehouse waiting therin

You walk over to Mareena and the other guy just in time to see Floyd come running out of the forest and leave. Katie follows a bit behind him, carrying a blanket and looking a bit disheveled and tired.
"Hello, Sam. You're out here early," Mareena calls to you as you approach. She looks over at Katie leaving. "Thought it looks like the park's really busy this morning."

Hmm I wonder what Katie and Floyd were doing out here. Ehh I will just ask Floyd if I see him at the party tonight.
So what about you I usually ever see you at the mall or school? Is there something going on at the park I didn't know about?
"Oh sorry about that," Sam says to the white haired gentleman.
"My name is Sam and I still pretty new to Vitcity,". "What about you what's your name if you don't mind me asking?" Sam says to the White haired gentlemen.

The guy is quiet. "Dean."
Mareena laughs. "He's a bit shy. When I can afford to take some time off of work, I do enjoy getting out into the city. The park just happens to be one of my favorites. The beach is also nice." She leans in. "That said, I question if perhaps something's going on in the park today. Or perhaps it was last night? Oh, who can say for sure. You'd need some sort of fortune teller. Though I am rather curious what those two were up to... I've been here since sunrise, but I never saw them come into the park. Strange, no?"
You assume she means Floyd and Katie.

"Oh yeah I got the message you left me yesterday,". "I also managed to pick both of the clips up,". "Thank you for your help with that,". "I was really worried a out what to get Raine and Freya," Sam says to Marenna.
Sam then goes to address Dean.
"So Dean what grade are you in?". "Are you very familiar with Vitcity? Sam asks Dean.

It's okay to be shy. I can only imagine the feeling. I too was very shy about a brand new place and a brand new school.
But I had such wonderful people to help me get over my shyness. Including this lovely young lady over here Ms. Mareena.
I don't know how but she was a big help so was a couple of the people at school I made friends with.
Dean do you have any pets?

With that, Dean hops down from the tree and walks off.

"Oh, don't worry about him. Like I said, he's pretty shy. Although, I should really be going, as well. My shop won't run itself. I'll see you tomorrow!"
Mareena quickly leaves, as well.
