While respond, Tia looks confused again. "Why are you calling him 'Aunt' Hinoh?" she asks.
Kiran shrugs. "Doesn't matter. Where are you two heading?"

You arrive at the park to find it's not in any better shape than the rest of the city... which is a shame, it seems like a nice park. Big open field, a few trees, some shelters... small river with a dock... and a nice, big forest with a nature trail. Which seems to be closed due to debris.
A few students are here, too. Looks like they're just finishing cleaning for the day. You recognize two of them from earlier, the boy with the straw hat and girl with the beret that you saw wandering around the city earlier. The other two you don't recognize. One of them is a platinum-blonde in a tank top with a navy jacket wrapped around her waist. The last member of their group, an effiminate guy with shoulder-length white hair, dressed in jeans and a purple t-shirt, is waving and making his way out of the park.

Aron greets the androgynous-looking fellow with a wave from the driver's seat window as he approaches the park entrance, looking around at the destruction and contemplating if there's any point in going over to help. After a second, the engine shuts down and he gets out.
"Everyone already done clean-up?" He asks the silver-haired guy.

"Oh, uh... I mean, yeah, as much as we could do in a day and without a chainsaw or something," the guy answers. "Sorry, running late for a date tonight. Gotta run. Talk to Laura if you got questions."
With that, he continues retreating at full speed.

So it is just him leaving, for now. Cool. Chainsaw? Could get one for tomorrow, but it'd be rude to go out using one in the evening. Maybe the city is supposed to handle this?
"Thanks!" Aron lets the guy go and goes to the rest of the crowd, thinking about questions.
"Evenin'!" He greets them with an enthusiastic wave. "How goes the battle?"

"Battle?" The girl with the jacket around her waist springs up. "Oh, you mean cleaning. Eh. I mean. I guess we won, but the war continues."
"Still plenty to do..." the one with the straw hat says. "Well, not too much more we kids can do. Gonna have to leave the rest to the professionals."
"If they ever get around to it..." Beret girl mutters.
"They will. Probably." Straw Hat shrugs.
"I haven't seen you around before..." Jacket-belt says.

Aron grins a bit. Did that girl seriously think he'd be talking about a real battle? Must have her head in the clouds, but in the very best way possible.
"Yeah, I'm new. Name's Aron, pleased to meetcha'." Aron tells the jacket boy. "You guys don't exactly sound faithful..."

"I don't think that's what he means..." Beret says. "I'm sure they'll get to cleaning the part up sooner or later, but it could take a while. Places like this are never exactly the priority after a disaster."
"Can't trust old folks to do anything," Jacket says, a hint of anger in her voice.

Jacket sounds ready for war. Not doing things is why the old folks in Aron's family are the most savory of the bunch. Guess that's exceptional, though. "Well, I'm pretty eager to clean this place up, myself." Aron says reassuringly with a half-raised hand. "I'm hoping to have some fun here, after all. Maybe I can contact the city services or some non-profits for advice. Do you all use the place often? Maybe we could call it a 'charity' if we have some folk willing to do things themselves."
Aron shrugs.

"Laura. Head of the Close-Quarters Combat Clubs." She pauses to size you up. "You look like you might know your way around a mat."

"Nice to meet you all." Aron smiles. "I'm happy to help clean up the trash anytime, Avalon. Right now, even."
He adds, looking at Laura. "Right, I think Mattea mentioned something about that. You've got different martial arts clubs grouped into one?" Aron scratches the back of his head, looking mildly bashful. "I mean my cousin's a boxer and the whole family's a bit crazy so I've taken some hits, but I'm not trained in anything. Maybe you take newcomers?"

"Heck yes we take newcomers," Laura says, voice dripping with excitement. "The wrestling season's about halfway over so you might be in over your head a bit, but that's fine there's plenty of rookies and stuff. And then the boxing season starts. And then the mixed martial arts season..."
Avalon picks ties another trash bag shut and Lance helps her toss it onto a pile by the trash can.

"Awesome. I'll see you to sign up at school tomorrow, maybe lunch break?" Aron tries to curb Laura's enthusiasm with a swift, firm handshake. "Let's get this trash cleaned up for Avalon and Lance, get the blood pumping a bit. I wouldn't mind a quick crash course in what I'm gonna be in for, after if you're still looking to show off what the club's got!"
