Park

Aron sighs with mock exasperation. "I wasn't raised to go back on a promise, I suppose. You're damn right we are."

Aron hopes that he can get a second to remove his blazer and for a formal bow or something bu--

"Oof!" --t no such luck. Yep, that's about what he expected. Aron manages to avoid getting caught too off-guard and winded by Laura's first take down. He keeps his mind focused on where he's being grappled and tries to go along with Laura's demonstrations, struggling around a bit under each new hold to confirm that he is, in fact, securely pinned. He also manages to get his blazer off before the second time he's hurled from his feet onto his back.

After a moment, the girl stops her assault and asks "Alright, any questions or are you ready to try pinning me now?"

"I'm good." Aron says as he stands up, dusts himself off and fixes his clothing. "Stop me if I'm off in assuming you're ready!"

In the spirit of Laura's sportsmanship, Aron closes the gap between him and Laura and attempts the same basic takedown she first demonstrated, trying not to leverage his weight too much with every move, unless she goes all spider monkey on him.

"Most people would wait until they're off the ground before saying as much, but, thanks."

Aron lets go and waits until they get up. "I'll be sure to drop in and introduce myself!"

Tai

You head home and do your homework, then once it's dark you head to the park.  You have to sneak in, but it's not very hard to climb over a damaged section of fence in the moonlit night.  You see a pair of figures in the distance and head to the docks.

Freya is leaning against one of the taller pilings, wearing a jacket over a two-piece swimsuit, hands in her pocket, looking out over the river.  Natsumi is sitting on a bench across from her with a pad, a brush, and a jar of ink.  When you get closer, you notice she's also wearing her swimsuit under her jacket.

Natsumi's so engrossed with her drawing she doesn't notice you approaching, and Freya seems to be lost in thought.

Tai

Natsumi and Freya both jump with surprise. Natsumi flicks her wrist to avoid smudging her drawing. Freya nearly falls off the dock, one foot slipping off the edge before she latches onto the piling to stop herself.

Natsumi seems to be drawing Freya, but it's kind of hard to tell since it's not her usual style. Thick, heavy lines of ink make up the dock with wispier, light inking makes up the water. A feminine figure that you're relatively sure is supposed to be Freya is starting to take shape.

"Oh... hello, Tai!" Natsumi says.

Freya pulls herself back up. "Jeez...! Phew... Hey."

"Aw, you might as well have just fallen," Natsumi says.

"Uh, no? I need a chance to lose the jacket and shoes." Freya takes off her jacket, folds it up, and drapes it over the back of the bench, then takes a seat and starts undoing her shoelaces.

Natsumi notices you looking at the art. "What do you think? I'm trying something new."

Tai

"Maybe!" Natsumi says. "Figured it'd be better to be ready, just in case. Oh. And I have to practice a lot. Lots and lots. I can only figure out new art styles so fast because of all the practice in the past!"

"Yep... lots of practice. Kinda like me and sports. Since I did a lot of different things - like baseball - I can pick up on new games pretty quick." Freya finishes, crosses her arms, and grins towards Tai. "By the way, Natsumi has to manage to pick me up herself. Sorry, those're the rules we agreed on."

Natsumi reaches under Freya and tries to lift her. The shorter girl struggles in vain for a few seconds. "Ngh... You... ngh... could... help... a bit... Freya...!"

Freya continues to sit with her arms crossed for a bit, then shrugs and puts one arm over Natsumi's shoulder.

With the added help and a lot of effort, Natsumi manages to scoop Freya up, though it looks like she's struggling to stand. "OK...  Got... her up! Little help getting her in the water, Tai?"


Leia

You arrive at the park and head through a gap in the fence.  It looks like you beat Mattea and Kiran, but you see Tai, Natsumi, and Freya on the docks off in the distance.  Natsumi seems to be carrying Freya for some reason...

"Hey, Leia.  I'm here."  Kiran's voice behind you draws your attention.

"Yeah, yeah.  What's all this about?" Mattea asks as she drops down from climbing the fence.

Tai

Natsumi's timing is a bit late, but the two of you still manage to chuck Freya far out into the river with a loud splash. She pops back out of the water a moment later, gasping. "Ah... th-that's cold...!" she chokes out.

"Yep, I know!" Natsumi reminds her. She turns to Tai and laughs.

Freya shakes her head and sends water flying. "So... Tai. Y'know. Natsumi's really light. Bet you could toss her in with me pretty easily..."


Leia

While the three of you watch, Natsumi and Tai pick Freya up and toss her in the river.

Mattea snorts with laughter.

"Huh. That's usually Somnis' thing," Kiran says.
