Now Sam seems to be confused about why Tia is upset.
"Why are you a bad guardian?". "Your one of the kindest, and friendliest person err guardian that I have ever met,". "Your very understanding,". "Plus your very approachable,". "Also your not afraid to be yourself,". "In fact I have a favor to ask of you,".
Sam seems nervous to ask Tia but nevertheless asks her.
"Can you help me get over my fear of snakes?". "I don't want a repeat of the beach incident to happen again,". "I don't want to be in the middle of a battle or traveling here or the other place,". "And then a snake appears and I put everyone in danger,".
"I remember the day we were in the pet store and the snake had no problem with you,". "Your so calm and relaxing to be around,". "Also your very patient,". "You took the time to speak with me after I made a scene,". "I feel like if I am with you I might be able to over come my fear,". "Umm we can even treat it as you teaching me about snakes,".
Sam says to Tia still somewhat shy and nervous.
"Of course umm if you want to?". "You don't have to of course,". "Umm what do you think?" Sam asks Tia.

"I'm a bad Guardian 'cause monsters got out when I shoulda been watching them..." Tia mutters. She frowns at the ground. It seems like it takes her a few minutes to hear the rest of what you said. "Huh...? But I'm not a snake... I'm a lamia... I guess you can do stuff with me if you think it would help, but I'm not a snake..."

Sam and Tia finish their talk and go their separate ways. The bandaged guy and Avalon seem to finish talking about whatever it was, as well, and he leaves with a wave.

"So if I catch something will you cook it for me then? Not gonna lie and say I'm crazy as fuck about fishing. I like the peace and quiet of it, but it can get pretty monotonous after a while. But some fresh fish meal afterwards ought to make it worth a damn."

Sachi lends you another pole and the two of you start fishing. You snag a few small fish, and Sachi tells you they're too young and need to be tossed back. In the end the two of you catch a half-dozen decently sized fish, and Sachi heads over to one of the nearby picnic tables. He produces a set of knives from his bag. "Right, then. Have you ever prepared fish before? Actually, I don't recall seeing you in the club... Do you have much cooking experience at all?"

"So I don't need to start with anything so basic as how to hold a knife, at least. That's good!" Sachi runs you through how to descale the filet the fish. It's not as difficult as you expected, but your first attempt isn't great. The second comes out better.
Sachi produces some charcoal and you grill the fish on one of the stations set up around the park. The timing for fish meat is a lot different than you're used to, but Sachi's able to keep you from burning it. In the end, the result is... still not that great. "A lot of how fish turns out is the quality of the fish you catch. And also the seasoning, which we didn't use today... That's a lesson for another day."

You arrive at the Park and Mareena makes a beeline for a tree. She swings herself up into it and offers a hand to help pull you up. "THE GREAT MAREENA like trees, don't you? So relaxing. And the better to see people coming. Sometimes without them seeing you back!" She pokes you on the nose. "Information is the name of the game, no? The more you have that your opponents do not, the better your position."

While you chat, Lisa shows up, releases a drone, and starts flying it around at high speeds. Avalon and Lance arrive and sit at a table, unpacking some textbooks and notes. The bandaged kid arrives, greets them, then sits down at the pier with a fishing rod.
"Ah, looks like it's just about time for the show... Are you ready, Floyd?" Mareena holds up 3 fingers and starts counting down. When she hits 1, the bandaged kid pulls up on his rod, hard, and pulls a Soul Key out of the river.
