I just want to point out that the headbanging, kirby pot smashing, and so on are all included in Odette's performance. Where'd she get the Kirby plush and the pot? Probably wherever the hell she keeps her scythe. How did she do all this while still playing the violin? Stop asking questions you don't need to know the answer to.

Elliara: "Tommy, you're going first."
Tommy excitingly runs to the altar, taking a guiro out of his pocket. He starts playing.
He dances like any kid of his age would dance: bending his knees, then unbending them. Later, rinse, repeat. He still seems to put his heat into it. The Neutral Note flies off of his guiro, then doesn't waste time going on the altar. You feel like even the note wants this to be over. There's a bright flash of grey light, a little brown fuzzy creature appears on the altar... It's as big as a pebble. It has a big nose that sticks out of all the hair, but you can't see any eyes. The creature has minuscule arms and legs. It scurries to it's master and starts sniffing him. It's kind of ugly, but Tommy seems to love it. He takes a seat in the gymnasium, putting his Note Beast on his lap and petting it.

Elliara: "Frida, it is your turn."
The weirdly attired dwarf girl slowly moves forward and takes out two cymbals of her apron pouch. She starts performing.
Her dance constitutes of her bobbing her head enthusiastically. You don't feel like she's slacking. It feels that as a young dwarf, she's not very mobile and that's the most she can do. She seems really good at hitting these cymbals together though. The Earth Note pounds on the altar repeatedly, before disappearing inside it. You can feel the ground shake a little, which seems to concern every students, except Frida, who doesn't seem to notice it. In front of Frida comes out a black mole-like creature... You can tell by it's claws, but you can't actually see the creature's head. It seems stuck inside a metal helmet which is smaller than the creature itself. It lets out sad whines, at which point Frida tries to get the helmet off,with no success. She tries to pet the creature to try to calm it down, which is quite an odd sight, as it is almost as big as Frida herself. She consoles the creature, then goes sit on a chair. The mole lays down next to her, seemingly accepting it's face's fate.

Elliara: "Terry, don't be shy. It's your turn now."
The hooded individual walks in the center of the stage, takes out a guitar with twice the amount of ropes it's starting to have and goes crazy with it.
Definitely an electric guitar. Terry oddly plays with enthusiasm, as they bang their head back and forth, but manages to still keep their hood on. The room mysteriously become darker, as the Ice Note pulses above the altar, then explodes in a white flashing light, revealing a sad looking white bear creature. It's paws are devoid of claws... It seems kinda innoffensive. There's snow on it's shoulder. It's quite tiny too. Shorter than Terry's legs actually. The creature walks towards it's Conductor, then puts it's arms around their right leg and stays there. You notice there's another face in the bear's face. It seems mischievous and has powerful-looking bug-like mandibles. There seems to be scythe-like arms retracted inside the bear's back. You actually realise the sad face hasn't move a single bit. It must be fake. Terry shows no emotion and goes sit on a chair, their Note Beast still grappled to their leg.

Carlston: "Odette, young woman, it seems like it's your turn to shine. Show them what you're made of!"
Odette walks forward, taking her violin out of nowhere and starts to do quite the performance.
She starts banging her hair back and forth, then pull out a frying pan out of nowhere, to put it on her head, then start headbanging again. She then stops to grab upon some kind of pink plushy and makes it bounce into the frying pan. The Machine Note seems to continually bounce on the frying pan, until it's launched into the altar and transforms in front of everyone's eye into some kind of starfish made out of gears. It starts quickly rolling in circle around Odette, then transforms one last time, as vacuum-like tentacles comes out of it. Three of time. It rolls so fast around Odette that you can see sparks on the ground. Odette goes sit, as her Note Beast follows her. Now she has to name it...

Carlston: "Well, Jessica, it is now your turn. Rock that guitar!"
Jessica moves forward, then starts playing her electric guitar.
She's not very mobile thanks to her instrument, but she definitely rocks it out. The Cosmic Note frantically launches itself into the altar and everyone is blinded by a color they can't even comprehend. When their sight comes back, they see some kind of black ball bouncing everywhere. Looking at it is like looking at the sky during the night. It's a very dark black, but there's white luminous spots looking like stars on the Note Beast. It eventually settles down in front of Jessica to reveal it has two hollow holes that serves as eyes. There's another hollow hole under them, which is shaped like a mouth. It bounces in place happil and follows Jessica to her seat. She now has to name this bouncy ball creature.

Carlston: "Melody, it is your turn now, try not to show off."
The princess-like girl moves forward, a big smile on her face. She starts making her wrist tambourine sound, then starts moving around gracefully.
She moves around the room, doing graceful ample movements with her arms. The Light Note seems to be dancing with her. Somehow, you feel like this girl trained for this moment all her life. She's definitely a better dancer than all of you. The Light Note circles the room, then as it passes over the altar, it doesn't stop there. The blinding yellow light starts forming, but continues to dance with Melody. Her Note Beast ends up being quite weird, as you notice it is a human-sized floating piano with angel-wings. You don't think it has any face. Wether you think it's unfair or not, you can feel that this Note Beast's essence is more powerful than yours... They continue dancing so long, Carlston has to stop them. Melody proudly sit on a chair, as her Note Beast flies by her side.

Carlston: "Go ahead Carlston, show them your moves!"
Kalvin is seemingly shy, but happy. He just starts stomping the ground with his boots.
He festively jumps all around the gymnasium, while the Plant Note bounces with him. The halfling sometimes claps his boots together to reinforce the fact that they are his instruments. He even grabs the teachers to join his performance and swings them around in circles. Eventually, the Plant Note goes on the altar and there's a green flash. A quadrupedal creature is revealed, the size of a dog. It's not any animal you recognize though. It has a long reptilian face, but bug-like eyes and a mouth that opens in four, like a bloodworm. It's legs are reminiscent of an elephant. There's various vegetables growing on the creature's back, which seems to illuminate Kalvin's face. He runs to the creature and manages to gather the strenght to swing it around like he did for the teachers. Kalvin goes sit as festively as he danced and realises the creature is heavy, so he put it back on the ground.

Elegra walks forward, straps castanets to her wrists and starts humming a tune.
She snaps her instruments together, as the Fire Note comes out of them, growing bigger and bigger after each clap. Elegra starts stomping her feet around, until she bumps into the note, launching it into the altar. The bright red flash leave place to one suave Flamingo. It starts dancing around Elegra... You think this creature might even be a better dancer than Melody. It stomps it's yellow legs around, circling Elegra. Some of it's bright red feathers goes flying when it stomps the ground. It finishes by grabbing what looks like a black top hat, but is actually a volcano. Elegrasits down, realising her Note Beast is as tall as her. She now has to name it.

The completely average guy walks forward, scratches his head, coughs, then take out a mic out of his pocket and actually starts singing.
That guys doesn't move much, outside of his legs, but you can feel all of his energy. He's putting it all in his singing. The Wind Note comes out of his mic and is instantly launched on the altar, transforming into a normal-looking Labrador... His eyes are bright green. It has a black collar with chromatic studs around it's neck and similar bracers around it's legs. Patrick seems happy about his Beast, as it jumps on him and starts licking his face. He eventually stands back up, then goes sit with it.

Tina glares at the blonde braided elf, as she looks at Virion, who just shrugs. Gilly glares at the teacher, but doesn't seem to make any trouble.
Gilly: "Never do that again..."
Tina: "Come on, don't be a fool. Go perform."
Gilly walks forward, then takes out an ocarina and starts to play.
She seems really concentrated, slowly waving her body ins place like a snake. Her eyes closes and the Poison Note comes out and starts to make waving movement too, slowly making it's way towards the altar. There's a purple flash, which reveals a lizardman with purple scales. It has an armor made of what looks like various turtle shell and his holding a spear, which venom is dripping off from. It starts a tribal dance, until Gilly eventually opens her eyes. She seem startled after giving a look at her Note Beast, as if she didn't expect it looking this brutal. It hisses playfully at her, grabs her and sits her down itself. She doesn't know how to react to this and seems frozen.

Garth slowly moves to the center of the gym and takes out a clarinet.
He doesn't move at all, since he's an old man, but he plays as good as he can. The Water Note very slowly reaches the altar, eventually becoming a blue flash of light. The Note Beast is a fish, standing on it's tail. It has a white belly and turquoise scales. It's also wearing a straw hat and has pointy-goblin like ears. It slowly jumps towards it's conductor, whom grabs it and goes sit. That was kind painful to watch...

Rita signals the woman with heterochromia next. Eurya walks in the center of the gymnasium, takes a deep breath, then grabs a trumpet and starts her performance.
She moves around, making very squarish movements. You can tell she was part of some kind of military parade, because this is what it looks like. One step after the other. Very precise movement. The Dark Note seems to always stay close to her, then in a quick movement, she slaps it and it breaks on the altar, revealing the Note Beast without anyone being blinded this time. This Note Beast is quite mysterious. It's a very long brown coat and a brown hat, but there's nothing inside these clothes. Is the Note Beast actually those clothes or is it invisible? It also has a black cape. Eurya seems quite passive about this. She finishes her performance, then goes sit, all while keeping a neutral expression. Her Note Beast goes to stand next to her.

Rita signals the last student. The older elf. He winks at Gilly, then moves forwards, an harmonica in his mouth.
He closes his eyes and starts humming his tune in his instrument, all while moving around with cool dance moves. Jumps, slides, graceful ample movements, you can see Melody seems jealous of him. There seems to be some kind of sadness in his movements though. Eventually, the Thunder Note is launched from his instrument and crashes into the altar, revealing a frog the size of a rhino. The frog is of a dark green, but there's stripes of lightning on it's back. You can see Virion open his eyes in awe. You understand why. You felt it too... This Note Beast's essence is stronger than Melody's Note Beast. Virion seems to stop his performance, tests if he can touch his Beast without getting zapped, which is successful, then goes to sit at his Beast joins him in one jump. He's sitting there trying to figure out what he did for this to happen.

The Note Beast jumps up and down really excitedly and lets out a happy like sound.

Nebby really likes the name and bounces happily to the name.
Jess then pulls out a bag from outta no where and tells Nebby to get in the bag

Your beasts all seem pleased about their name. Well, for Odette it's harder to see any kind of facial expressions, so she's not sure.
The teachers explain you're free for the rest of the day so you can learn more about your Note Beast.
Now that you're paying more attention to everything going on around you, you notice Elliara's and Rita's Note Beasts. Elliara has a cute Lion girl next to her. She seems very playful, wearing what you'd call an adventurer's gear. Cotton clothes, brown vest, leather boots. She has fuzzy red hair flowing from the middle of the top of her head, falling on her shoulders. Rita has a tiny Note Beast. It's a white bee with red stripes. It's actually the size of a real bee. You wonder how such a tiny thing can have more "essence" than your Note Beasts. The teachers explain that they'll be in the gymnasium all day if you need anything, then release you, before saying one last thing.
Carlston: "Oh... Right. If you want to fight each other, there's rules. It has to be here, in the gymnasium, regulated by one of the teachers. Training is always encouraged."
Tina: "If I catch any students fighting each other outside the school, I'll send Grumble after you fools. I'm serious."
Elliara: "There's also some training golems over there, behind that green door!"
Rita: "Have a nice day everyone!"
Tommy runs off out of excitement. Terry goes to lean on a wall, then seems to observe everyone. Melody politely bow to the teachers, saying something about training at home, then leaves. Gilly and Virion seem to be arguing. The girl is saying something about how he can't name his Note Beast "Elise". Eurya is staring in one direction, thoughtful.
Frida, Kalvin, Patrick and Garth are not doing anything particular right now.
