Maybe you want to come help out? Or if you're heading that way, we could chat on the way over there...?"

You get on the bus with Natsumi. She picks out some seats that are far enough away that you can talk quietly without being overheard. "So...?"

You head over to the ice rink in search of who knows what.
You see Ilya leaning against the railing, talking with someone you don't recognize outside the rink. He's got dark, tanned skin and black hair. They finish talking, and the guy heads for the door while Ilya takes off skating along the edge of the arena. She seems to be working on speed today, weaving between other skaters without slowing down.

Oh boy I see where this is going. But it's only afternoon, don't you want to do something else until then?

Nora seems glad for the change of topic. She smiles, reaches into her purse, and takes out her favorite Tarot Card deck that she brought from home.
"I'm quite the lover of the occult and occult history, though I must say, I'm a bit hesitant to join the school club. Tell me, what is it like? Do the members appreciate actual occult history and mythology, or is it more, well... Do forgive my bluntness, but more childish?"

"Oh, a bit of both," Mattea says. "It's actually one of the clubs I attend when I have free time. They do some goofy rituals and whatnot, but they usually start the meetings by discussing the histories and the myths associated with whatever they're doing. At least, usually. The next month or so's going to be devoted to setting up a haunted house for Halloween or something. Who knows how that's going to go. That said, you'd probably still enjoy talking with the club president, Billy - everyone just calls him Buttons - and his backup, Nutty. Er, Natsumi."

"Oh, right. The clubs at our school are a bit different from most schools. People don't officially 'join,' clubs, they just decide whether or not to show up each day, or sign up for events as they coming. Speaking of events..." Mattea nods. "The art club is- well, that Nutsumi girl I mentioned before is the head of that one. She's... interesting. Nice enough, I suppose, but a bit odd. I've been to that club a few times, it's usually fine, the usual drawing drills and painting and whatnot. Though you did miss the art club's first event this year. Some 'body art' exhibit in the park or whatever she called it. They turned some of our students into walking artwork. She even convinced me to join in. It was kinda weird at the time, but looking back it was kinda cool being turned into an angel for a day." Mattea flips her fork and grins. "Though maybe a devil would have been a bit more appropriate."

Natsumi smiles and throws her arms around you. "Aw, Tai! That's so gr- wait, what did you say back?" Her smile and optimism, gone. "We wouldn't be talking like this if there weren't a problem, would we... What happened?"

Nora gives a relaxed smile as she finishes her food, turning her fork over and wiping her mouth with a napkin. "How fun. I'm sure you drew quite a few heads."
She asks the waiter to make sure the check is split, then casually leans back in her chair and crosses her legs. "That is a rather casual approach to clubs. I quite like it. I'm a bit of an artist and writer myself, but I really only dabble. One of my more serious hobbies is chess. I don't suppose it would be possible to create a chess club?"

He sighs, his cheeks still flushed. "Anyways... she told me to choose whatever the hell we do. Which yeah, I know fucking lame that I'm asking for help instead of being some suave-ass man-candy that immediately knows what to do, but..."
He looks at Natty, his expression nervous and a bit... embarrassed? "I've.... never been on a date..."

"Come mid-November, the trivia club's competitive season will end and the club will change over to chess. Similarly, the soccer club will change to... whatever the next sport is. Baseball? Basketball? I don't really follow sports."
Mattea thinks for a moment. "I did turn quite a few heads. I'm sure you would have enjoyed just as much attention. Are you comfortable in the limelight? I spend most of my time in the drama club, in charge of costumes and makeup. I'd simply love to work on someone as lovely as yourself. And I believe auditions for the Christmas play begin soon. Do consider stopping by some time, won't you?"

Natsumi pulls back and crosses her arms in consternation. "Hmmm... I... haven't... either... Been on a proper date, that is. I mean I've done stuff with people that would be dates if we'd called them dates, I guess, but we didn't so they weren't, right?" She thinks more. "I don't think Mattea... um... Well, no, she's really vengeful. But I think she likes you enough that she'd forgive you unless things went really, really bad." More thinking. "If it were me, I... I did promise to let you paint me to pay you back for helping out at the festival. I'd probably take you on a picnic somewhere nice and private and... do that. But Mattea... would probably like really different stuff than me. I'd just pick something you'd both enjoy doing and go do it. You know her better than I do."

Nora seems to think for a few moments, then smiles. "Perhaps I will stop by sometime soon. I've been in a few school plays before, and of course I relish the attention, but it's never been something I've particularly sought out before. Perhaps it's because my mother is an Actress, and I would prefer to forge my own path instead of following in her footsteps."
She shrugs and brushes a stray bang back behind her ear. "But I would rather enjoy spending that time with you, I think. And it's always a pleasure to talk to a girl my age about makeup who actually knows what she's doing and not merely pretending to. Oh, and before I forget, who is usually in charge of the chess club when it comes around, my dear? I would simply love to challenge them to a game."
