Floyd, Leia, Tai, Dewey

Buttons poses dramatically as the entire group reacts about the same as you.  "...Wow, everyone.  Calm down.  Seriously, don't get too excited.  Jimmy!"

The lights come back on, and Jimmy comes clanking down the stairs.  "Hey, uh..."  He looks around the room.  "N-nevermind."

"Right, well.  We'll need people to work on props, some walls and stuff, move things around, people to dress up in costume, and a few of you to work on summoning ghosts and demons and whatnot," Buttons says.  "Any volunteers for anything?"

"Props, please," Avalon says.  "And, um, maybe I'd wear a costume, but I'm not... sure..."

"I can work on walls!" Laura volunteers.

"Same," Somnis says.  "All the stuff from Volunteer club recently should be good practice."

Tia's tongue flicks out.  "Um...  I'm not... sure about all this..."

"A costume sounds fun!" Natsumi volunteers.  "I'll, um... also set some wards around to make sure any ghosts we summon don't escape."

Buttons' smile and optimism return, somewhat.  "There we go.  And the rest of you?  In or out?"

"Out," Mattea says.  "...Well, maybe I'll consider helping people put together their costumes.  Maybe."


Nora

Less than two minutes later, a young, red-haired lady around your age walks in wearing a green dress and matching heels.  She takes a quick look around before whipping out her phone and firing off a text message.  Your phone buzzes and she whips around to face you.  She gives a quick look up and down, then smiles and confidently strolls over.  "Hello, there.  Ursula, I presume?  Mattea, student body president."

Nora smiles and places her phone back into her purse. "Please, call me Nora. My first name is so garish and vulgar. It's a pleasure to meet you, Mattea Tarea. I must say, I'm rather surprised I've gotten so much attention so quickly. If I may, did your father speak of me? Or do you simply know all the new students who will be attending your school?"

Leia suddenly seems interested.

"OH! OH! I CAN WEAR A FULL COSTUME! I'LL BE LIKE A SCARY MASCOT! AND NO ONE WILL KNOW WHO'S UNDER THE COSTUME!"

Nora

"Oh, I get to know everyone that joins the school.  We're not a particularly large institution, so when new students join the president typically...  Hm.  Come to think of it, I suppose it's not officially part of my duties, but Alice - my predecessor - made a point of it, and I should try to outdo her, no?  I'd normally wait for school on Monday, but...  I'm a bit confused about something. How, praytell, do you know my father?  I was under the impression you came from overseas."

She's interrupted by the waiter coming to take your orders.  Mattea orders the soup du jour and a small salad.  "You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu."


Floyd, Leia, Tai, Dewey

Leia gets some funny looks, but Buttons smiles at her.  "Heck yeah, you can."  He looks over to Tai.  "Go nuts, dude."  Then Dewey.  "We need to erect some simple walls to make a kind of maze thing, y'know?  Guide people around to stuff.  Make them a bit claustrophobic, give places people can jump out from.  Stuff like that."  Finally Floyd.  "I'll put you down for 'whatever,' then."

Nora orders a salad and one of the simpler lunch entrees, then smiles at Mattea.

"So it truly was a mere coincidence then. How fascinating. I am indeed from overseas. I came here to study abroad and intern at Vitcorp, at the behest of my father. You see, my family wants me to see the world a little more and acquire a bit more practical experience before I inherit the family... estate. As it just so happens, I'll be working under your father in the legal department. He mentioned lunch in such a way that it had me convinced he knew we were meeting, and then you knew I was coming from Vitcorp..."

She trails off and gives a casual shrug. "I suppose it is no matter regardless."

Tai, Dewey, Floyd, Leia

"Alright! We can go ahead and do a little cleaning today, but for the most part we'll be putting things together during club meetings. Let's get started! Oh, and remember - this is top secret."

You all put in some work, and feel a bit improved.  Around lunch, Buttons says things look pretty good, and it's a good place to stop for the day.

"Mm. Your file mentioned your internship. And I actually only knew you were at Vitcorp thanks to Alice and Tom. I didn't have the slightest idea you'd be working in the legal department. Dad and I don't... Work keeps him busy." Mattea pauses to take a drink. The way she carries herself... you get the impression she's had some training with proper etiquette, but not the most practice. "By the way, how was Alice?"
