"Ah, I didn't mean for things to get so dark there, but I suppose it would only be right to give you appropriate warning. There was an attack at the mall not so long ago... Ah, I really should have warned Nora about that. Actually, I should have invited Nora for the evening. Though after how our party last night ended, I thought it might be a bit awkward... Oh, yes, Nora's another exchange student. It might be worth it for you two to reach out to her. Actually, we have quite a few exchange students. Nora, Ilya, Grant... Tia. Ah, well, maybe... don't bother asking Tia or Grant for help. Not to be mean, but they, uh, let's just say they're having enough trouble fitting in as-is."
The waiter comes by, and Mattea flags him down. "Three slices of apple pie, please."

You reach her apartment and she heads inside, only pausing at the door. "Oh, right. Bye. Have... a... nice run."

You decide to camp outside in front of the portal for a while. While you wait, the wind suddenly picks up. A lot. Then more. And more. Suddenly you find yourself sliding along the ground, but manage to latch onto a bench to stop yourself. You can't hear anything over the howling wind. And as suddenly as it started, the wind stops. When you look around, you see debris thrown everywhere, a few broken windows.

You walk back through the portal to find a disaster. Shards of glass and bits of debris are littered around the train station, and a very flabbergasted and disheveled Karl on a bench nearby. You can hear sigens in the distance.
"What... happened here?" Kiran asks.
Katie and Fox look around, then Katie starts running off. "I need to go check on Mom!" she calls back.
"Wait!" Fox yells. "Let me come with you!"
"Y-yeah, this is... not good," Freya says. "Was there a tornado or something?"
"Wind... The aether back there was wind-flavored..." Tia says quietly. She falls silent, thinking to herself.
"Hey, time for thinking later. We should get home and make sure Dogachu and Sproink aren't freaking out. Actually, hold on. Let me text Somnis and ask her to go check."
Raine bites her lip. "I hope Dad's OK..."
"Ah! Damn, you're right! We can't even call him or... Ugh, this sucks!" Freya yells.

"What Freya means is that it's not that simple," Raine explains. "He's out at sea, on that new cruise liner's maiden voyage."
"No cell signal..." Freya adds.
"That sucks," Kiran says. "When's it due back?"
"Tomorrow around noon," Raine says.
"Then you should probably start worrying tomorrow around noon," Kiran says. "Nothing you can do about it tonight other than make sure the house is ready for him to get home, yeah?"
"...Yeah..." Raine says.
Tia stands off from the others, lost in thought. While you all speak, she pulls out her Soul Key and holds it up. Her Otherworld armor and spear appear. She turns and stares at everyone.

"Oh okay Freya and Raine,". "If their is something I can do,". "Anything I can do for you or Freya let me know," Sam says to Raine and Freya.
Sam then sees Tia transform into her otherworld form. A memory flashes into her mind. Then all of a sudden she remembers the night she got her key.
"Wait I saw this happen before,". "When I could summon my stuff over here,". "Wait a minute,". "This is what happened to me when a Plastic Mannequin attacked at the mall," Sam says.
"In fact this was when me and Floyd first got the keys and transformed," Sam says looking at her keys.
Sam will take out her Soul Key and try to transform.

Sam proceeds to transform.
Tia and Sam proceed to stand there in their Otherworld forms.
"Um..." Raine starts to speak, then trails off, dumbfounded.
"Cool," Kiran says. He proceeds to transform, as well. "Yeah, it works."
Fox and Katie transform, as well. They proceed to stare at each other in confusion.
Freya decides to join in. As she does, everyone's armor begins to flicker, shifting between their Otherworld forms and their normal outfits. Which looks especially strange with Katie, since she's rapidly switching between being a human and a werewolf...
"Oh. Weird." Flick. "Guess there's only enough... um... ambient aether density for a few people in a small area. Yeah, that sounds scientific."
