Tai, Dewey, Kaaaarl
Dewey and Tai's shouts overlap as they combine their attacks against the giant snake. "Runya, BITCH!"
The snake gets blown away by the force of the combined flames. She lets Karl and Kiran - both covered in chunks of milk and half-digested pop-tart - loose as she dies. Chunks of her flesh turn to stone as they fall to the ground and shatter.
...
And nothing else happens. The statues don't suddenly start springing to life. Tai's arm finishes turning grey, solidifies, and refuses to move. Dewey can still feel the same curse radiating from the wound on his arm. Karl still feels stiff...

Levi instinctively raises both of his gauntlets in front of his face to block the incoming attack, defending. It seems he can't turn off the battle music.

Morgan, Levi
Levi throws his hands up. The snake lady throws her spear into the air. The spears floating beside her follow. They split into the air, bursting to fall down on the party like rain. Levi feels like just focusing on defense was enough to help reduce the damage, even if there was no dodging all of that.
Morgan feels like she's going to pass out. She casts a spell and a cool wind blows throughout the party.
"Tch..." Alice grunts from the spears. Then the wind blows through her hair. "Huh? Oh... That's a useful ski-" She gasps loudly. "Your soul key is overloading! Drop back and protect yourself"
"Damn..." Tom mutters. He swings his whip around and whacks the snake-lady across the face.
Alice leaps forward with two more quick slashes wreathed in fire and ice.
The massive gorgon reforms her soul spears. This time, she only forms three, including the one in her hands. "...Why...? Why are you doing this?"
"She's slowing down..." Alice points out. "We might be able to talk to her now. But don't let your guard down!"
"Why won't you just leave me alone...!?" she sobs.

(If I focus on defending can I still try to talk to snake lady? Or is it one or the other?)

"Friends..." the snake-lady mutters sadly. "I used to have friends. Before that bitch took them away from me..." Her tongue flicks in and out angrily.
Alice, despite her knees visibly shaking, slowly lowers her weapon. "We aren't with whoever you're talking about. Can we all just put our weapons down and talk?"
Tom copies her, wrapping his chain back around his arm.
The snake continues to stare at you all warily, spears at the ready.

Investigate anything of interest with Analyze. The Gorgon's remains, the parts of us being petrified, hell, iinvestigate any items we might have that even remotely look like they could have medicinal qualities.

"Damnit, we beat the hell-bitch but we're still turning into statues. We have to do, something. Fast."
Tai will help Dewey search and look for anything that could be of significance. He'll also look for where the Gorgon came from.
