"I have reason to suspect there may be a portal in or around Vitcorp," Nora says, speaking up for the first time in a bit. "But I'm afraid I don't know where to start looking."

Nora shrugs, smiling at Alice. "I know, dear, but I'd be a right terrible fortune teller if I ignored my own hunches. Oh, yes, speaking of other portals... Do we have any idea where the water portal might be? I would love to find it."

Karl, Dewey, Tai, Sam, Leia, Floyd, Nora

"The Industrial Area... and you haven't found much, huh?" Fox asks.  "Um...  There's a portal in the dump.  That's kinda on the edge of the Industrial Area..."

"A water area, huh...  The obvious answer would be the ocean, but that area is actually strongly aligned to Earth aether," Alice says.

"Yeah, well...  Coincidentally, that's where a really big cliff is in the Otherworld," Somnis says.  "So...  There's usually some similarities between our world and the Otherworld, but sometimes things are kinda weird."

"Yeah, the Magma Scar is tied to the main fire department.  Which is, y'know, like... the opposite of fire?" Laura says.

"Hu-u-u-u-uh.  Um.  I dunno..." Tia says.

"Um...  It might be somewhere close to the ocean but not actually there? Maybe it's somewhere by the river?  That's where I'd look first!" Katie says.  "Or, um...  Hm...  Out further into the ocean, maybe?  We could try a boat?"

"Getting something like that could be tough," Tom says.  "I dunno about you guys, but I don't have a boating license."

"Yeah...  That could be a problem," Freya says.

"Hmph.  It's not particularly hard to get a license, it just takes a few days. But you know you only need a license to operate a motorboat, yes?" Mattea asks.  "We could put those muscle of yours to work."

"Yeah?" Freya says.  "That's not a bad idea.  But where would we get a boat... I think they sell kayaks at the sporting goods store, but that's a bit out of my price range."

"We could start by just kind of... walking along the river and seeing if anything comes up?" Somnis says.  "Um...  Other than that...  There's a water park, but it's been closed for a few years.  Um... the water treatment plant?  What else...  The water tower, maybe, or... maybe the springs up in the mountain?  The place the river starts from."

"What about thinking smaller, a pool or something?  There's a few scattered around the city," Buttons says.  "Ma goes to one at the gym all the time."

"Oh, oh!  There's a really famous well downtown, right?" Katie says.

"Hm...?  Oh, yes...  I believe it was the well the town used when it was originally founded?" Raine says.  "Something like that, yes."

Sam

"Umm well their is a lot of us here,". "Should we maybe break into smaller groups and search each area individually,". "If a portal appears maybe we can alert each other,".

"Or umm not,". "Don't umm pay me no heed or anything,".

Sam is hunched behind Floyd and is kinda of poking at the ground.

Nora smiles. "That is, naturally, a very good option. Well, since I appear to be the only one with the means to readily obtain a boat... Perhaps we should leave the search into open water up to me, hm?"

She turns to Alice and her smile widens. "How about it, dear? Ever wanted to go kayaking?"

"Nope!" Nora says cheerfully. "Well. Unless you want me to predict your futures or drone on about my theory of how the world's gonna end. But that'd be a downer, no?"

She hovers into the air, her wings flapping. "I would like to explore this place... But I suppose that can wait until another time."
