"I am just glad no one wanted to ask about the Beach,". "I might have dodged a bullet their,". "But sigh it's still tough to see Raine after everything that happened,". "Sigh the wound is still fresh,". Sam thinks to herself.

"Umm what if we had not a single leader but a committee,". "Or umm a group of representatives?". "You know a group of people here voted by us that would sort of be our voice?". "Umm it could be 3 or 5 people all who have equal power and say,".

"And umm if we ever need to do something or want to know what to do next,". "We umm bounce the idea off of them?". "And then they can vote on what to do next,". "Umm in a way they can be like um something?".

"Umm maybe next time we meet we come up with a list,". "Maybe list the top 3 people we would want in charge,". "1st place gets 3 votes, 2nd gets 2, and 3rd gets 1 vote,". "Umm then we tally results and the people with the top whatever we decide,". "They will be our elected officials,". "Or umm something?".

Sam's face is very flustered and her face or whatever can be seen of her face is really Red. Sam is gripping Floyd's shoulders tight almost squeezing them.

"Or just forget I said anything,". "I can umm just go back to be irrelevant again ". "Sorry for the stupid suggestion,".

Sam goes back to crouching behind Floyd.

Floyd seemed about to reply to Buttons but, was overwhelmed by the flow of the conversation until Nora's comment "Ohh right that's what I was going to say when resistance movements organize they split into cells so that the loss or betrayal of any one member does not cripple the larger collective I think operating similarly is actually to our advantage given how outgunned we are and how scattred our intelligence is" He starts stopping to let Sam (and then Leia) make their suggestions "What was I talking about..... probably doesn't matter the only thing I think I have to share that hasn't already been is that there is another portal onto the train at the dump. Me, Ghost, Wolfman and Tod made contact with someone who claimed to be the guardian and also the person who made the stuff on the train who invited us to try and get to the front"

Leia looks at Karl, whom she never saw before.

"Hum... I'm... I'm hungry, are pop-tarts googoogood uncooked however?"

Nora's brow furrows in annoyance for a moment, but it quickly passes. She ignores Karl. "My, my... And here I thought I was being perfectly clear. I was not advocating for a leader, or a... commitee, or anything of the sort. We need a chain of communication established. We need to be able to coordinate effectively and quickly. That should be a simple concept to grasp, no? I was simply suggesting we designate coordinators among us."

"What's the big difference between a committee or a communication system?". "Isn't it the same difference?". "Umm or not?". "Umm pay me no mind I will just be here umm behind Floyd not saying anything?". "Even though Ms. Nora would have probably been one of the people I voted for,".

Sam is very figidity and goes back to poking the ground. Almost like she is not trying to draw attention to herself.

Karl, Dewey, Tai, Sam, Leia, Floyd, Nora

"Because you act like a tough guy but you still give a shit and you aren't afraid to take charge," Alice says.

"Be-" Mattea stops and stares.  "Yeah, that.  Plus you're cute.  And Zero, you lost the election.  That's why Alice is VP."

"So if we had people making a committee, how would..." Natsumi trails off.  "We'd need a few different leaders."

"What about Somnis?" Kiran asks.  "She knows a lot ab-"

"Not interested," Somnis interrupts.

"I'll do it!" Katie volunteers.

"We don't need some leader and we don't need a committee or whatever," Buttons says.

"I think it's worth considering," Natsumi says.

"It seems complicated..." Fox says.  "What's wrong with how things are?"

"Again.  You.  Statue."  Tom makes several hand gestures.  "If it weren't for Kiran and them going after Somnis and running into those snake ladies, and Alice and I taking care of that other... gorgon... thing, you'd still be stone."

OK, well...  Yeah, OK," Fox mutters.

"It seems like for now everyone is fine with focusing on finding new places in the Otherworld..." Raine whispers.  "Well, that's fine.  Probably."

"Look, if you all want to establish some kind of committee for making decisions, that's fine, but I don't think it's necessary.  Malatyne is right." Alice says.  "It seems like pretty much everyone already has a clique they work with.  I don't want some authoritarian commander that everyone obeys without question.  All I want is someone who can handle coordinating everyone.  Someone who can help people find groups to investigate with so that people don't have to go alone, or coordinate a rescue effort when things go wrong like at the beach last weekend.  Which apparently no one stepped up to do while I was in the hospital.  We don't need to make this complicated, we just need to put things in place to make sure people will be safe."
