Sam's eyes and ears perk at the mention of the word date. Sam has renewed determination to try and save Raine.
"Okay I know what must be done," Sam says.
Sam will summon her Star Rod and give it to Kirbi.
"Kirbi go down below and see what you can find,". "If it's safe float back up here and guide us below,". "If their monsters or anything dangerous then shot us a star away from the web and away from Raine," Sam tells Kirbi.
"Poyo," Kirbi replies before he takes off.
"Now Tom if Raine can swing back and fourth,". "What do you think about having her gain enough momentum?". "I was thinking about having her swing back and fourth and then at the right time cut the rope and having her fly towards us,". "We don't need to catch her but just provide a soft landing area for her," Sam says to Tom and Raine.
"Or would you prefer to wait until Kirbi returns?" Sam asks Raine and Tom.

Tai (Butts, Mattea, Grant)
Tai creates an illusion around himself that seems to annoy one of the crystal golems. It rushes at him in a rage, slapping him with the back of its arm. Grant smashes it in the back of its head with his hammer.
Buttons holds up his lantern and blows into it. A chill wind flows across the battlefield, chipping away at the golems. One of the golems raises its arms and fires off stone shards at everyone. They ping off of Grant's armor but stab into the rest of you. The last golem picks up a large rock and chucks it at Tai. It hits him hard enough to send him crashing into the wall, key starting to buzz.
Mattea moves in front of Tai and puts her hands on her hips, glaring at the golem. She turns to Tai and performs a short dance. Tai feels invigorated, gaining a second action next round.
Leia (Freya, Natsumi, Kiran)
The badly injured worm swings around to hit Leia, but she drops a large stone in front of her. The worm smashes it and gets pelted with fragments. It roars in anger as Freya sneaks up behind it. She hops into the air and drops down, swinging her leg in an axe kick to the back of its skull. Natsumi launches another wave of spirits at it, causing it to collapse.
The other two worms burrow under the ground. The fake looks around but has nothing to do.
Kiran walks over to Leia and bows dramatically, a rose appearing in his hand from nowhere. "For you, Leia." As he hands it over, the scent soothes your injuries.
Nora (Alice)
Alice pauses for a moment and sighs. "Fine now. The keys heal injuries orders of magnitude faster, not to mention the armor. Just gotta be careful to not overdo it. What about you? The first time's usually exhausting." She gives you a quick look-over. "Looks like your injuries are already patched up." As she passes by behind you, she pauses and you feel her rub your tail before continuing on.
Sam (Tom)
Kirbi disappears down the hole below Raine.
"I... really don't know about this plan, Sam..." Raine says. "The whole floor besides this bridge you made is covered in web, so... if I miss, I'm going to end up stuck... and I'm not... really confident I won't trip or something? And what if the web snaps? Or..."
Kirbi floats back up out of the hole. Poyo.

Nora grins. "Oh my... someone's getting bold. Like the tail, do you?"
Nora follows after Alice, partially floating, her tail swishing. "There's a looooot I wanna talk about once we're back home... And I have no intention of being boorish and lying that I'm not freaked out by this entire ordeal, but focusing on the good parts of all this makes it easier... Mmm, you do make one gorgeous knight."

Well then it looks like you came back to us still okay.
"So little guy mind guiding me and Tom safely down below?" Sam asks Kirbi.
"Okay Raine looks like we can at least get down their,". "Now then once we are in position,". "Kirbi here will cut you free so one of us can either catch you or at least provide a landing spot," Sam says to Raine.
"Well Tom when your ready Kirbi will lead us down below," Sam says to Tom.
"Poyo," Kirbi replies.

Tai (Butts, Mattea, Grant)
Buttons continues to hold his lantern up, the wind intensifying as the golems shudder against it. Grant whirls around and keeps swinging his hammer, sending one of the golems collapsing to the ground.
Tai aims at another golem, firing off two opposite-colored bullets. Mattea leaps forward and slices it with her fan, then Tai follows up with flailing, thorned tendrils coming from his guns' barrels. The golem shudders and starts to falter, turning to punch Buttons in the stomach. He doubles over in pain. The other golem fires off a burst at everyone again. Mattea twirls and passes between the shards. Buttons catches one in the shoulder and his key begins to hum. Another hits you and your key starts to buzz louder.
Leia (Freya, Natsumi, Kiran)
Leia places a scroll on herself and feels the ground beneath her tremble.
"I won't let you, Leia-person!" Natsumi holds out her hand and a pale blue chain appears between the two of you. The first worm breaches the surface and launches you up into the air. It doesn't hurt as much as last time, but you notice Natsumi, pulled by the chain, fly into the air as well. The second worm leaps up and grabs your leg, dropping quickly and attempting to pull you under the sand. It manages to pull you down to your waist. Natsumi also suddenly drops down, her legs half-sinking into the ground. Both of your keys start to buzz.
The small orb heals Natsumi, but you feel a bit refreshed as well and your keys fall silent.
The fake worm flails and smashes one of the living ones. A blast from the clifftop hits it in the side of the head as Freya kicks it in the side. Kiran draws a large sword and slices through it. The two halves fall silent, leaving only the one pulling you under the sand.
Nora (Alice)
"Y-you could feel that!?" Alice asks. "I, um, just wanted to... check whether that was a part of you or, um... not." She adjusts her gloves and looks down the path. In the red light, you're not entirely sure whether she's blushing or not. "Let's... go. We'll find somewhere safe for you to try out your new form some other night, hm?"
You continue down the path.
Sam (Tom)
"Nah, I got this," Tom says. "This way."
"Bye!" Raine calls as you leave. "I'll just... hang out here while I wait. Haha."
You follow behind Tom back the way you came, then head down the other path. It slopes downward and glows red.
Sam, Nora (Alice, Tom)
You arrive in a huge chamber filled with bubbling magma. The air shimmers from the heat. You feel like you should be dying, but your armor keeps most of you only moderately uncomfortable. Alice, on the other hand, seems fine. A few glowing stone columns reach from the bottom to ceiling, and a maze of jet-black pathways wind through the room. You notice each other near adjacent walls as you enter.
A pink puffball runs to a platform near the center of the room and points up. It only takes a few moments to make your way over to him. "Poyo."
Looking up you can see a narrow tunnel that goes straight up, with something white standing out well above. "Alright, I'll give Raine a call..." Tom says. He pulls out his phone and taps a few buttons. "No signal, huh... HEY, RAINE! CAN YOU HEAR US!?" he calls up.
In answer, Raine shudders and suddenly drops, falling down the tunnel at an alarming rate. Partway down, she transforms and suddenly slows her descent.
"Jeez..." Tom says. "She had me worried for a second."
"We need to hold this position until she finishes making her way down..." Alice looks around the room, clutching her sword. "On your guard, everyone... Look."
The magma nearby begins to bubble and jiggle.

She presses her back up against Alice's back, grinning.

(Crow you don't understand the pressure I am under. I am teaming up with Neo. Neoooooooo so everything has to be perfect.)
First off Sam will make sure she has her original sword whip equipped because fire whip would probably be bad against lava monster.
Second (if she isn't already but I am pretty sure she's been wearing it all this time) will make sure she's in her new armor.
Third Sam will call for Poyo to join her.
"Go and make sure Raine gets to us safely," Sam will instruct Kirbi.
"I am done with this place,". "Just say the word Nora and I will dance our way to victory,". "That combo seemed to work well before so just say the word," Sam says to Nora while giving a thumbs up pose.

Tai fires off a pair of wind-enhanced bullets at either golem. One of them collapses. Mattea starts dancing for the other golem, and it freezes as it stares at her. Grant slowly walks up behind it and bashes it with his mallet. The monster crumbles into shards.
"So shiny..." Mattea says, rummaging through the bodies for usable materials. "Let's see... come on... oh, there we go."

"Just one more... I'm going to look so good..." Mattea mutters to herself. "Ugh, but what about the others?" She whips out her phone and taps a few buttons. "Can't get in touch with Alice... Annoying. Should we go after them or give them a bit more time?"
Leia (Freya, Natsumi, Kiran)
Leia starts screaming and keeps screaming until the worm lets her go. Kiran reaches down and helps drag her out of the sand. Meanwhile, Freya digs Natsumi out of her hole. The worm emerges and the fake one slams it. Kiran tosses another bouquet that bursts into a rain of small objects, while Freya lunges and kicks it up into the air. Another blast comes from the cliff and the worm thuds into the sand, falling to pieces.

Leia's phone buzzes. And buzzes and buzzes from a stream of short messages.
"Yo
My cannon's low on juice
So we're heading back
Looks like we got most of the monsters
So we did our job
Our other group ran into our friends btw
And killed like a billion monsters
Anyway they're going to make sure Raine gets out then head back too

Yeah

Sam, Nora (Alice, Tom)
"You do seem aspected to water... It will help you strike back, but you're right that it won't really protect you," Alice explains. "But I don't mind doing that fo- er, Malatyne. Your tail."
"Left side," Tom says.
The bubbles coalesce into a humanoid shape. A human-shaped pile of magma begins to rise and rise and rise until it towers over all of you, twice your size and half the height of the tall room.
As the monster bears down on you, you look up the tube and see Raine's made it almost halfway down. Just need to stall a little longer.
