Floyd

"OK," Farmer says.

"Fine!" Scimitar draws their blades and charges ahead, slicing one of the zombies as Knife follows close behind and finishes it off.

"Um... I guess I can go with them..." Fox mutters.

You go running through the path the group made. Shortly inside, you find the air difficult to breathe and getting harder every second. A faint purple mist covers the area, laced into the ever-thickening fog.

The path forward is barred by a half-dozen zombies as the other group grinds to a halt. While they start attacking the zombies, a hissing noise behind you draws your attention. A purple tornado twice your height begins to form, eyes and a mouth appearing in a twisted grin as it begins to advance towards you.

"Let's GO!" Katie yells. She pounces at the tornado, leaping through it with a slash. "It's hard to hit... Hit it harder!"

You try slashing and spinning away, smacking the tornado four times. Each time it's quick to reform.

"OK, I'm coming!" Club answers. They jump at the tornado, swinging their club. It flies through the tornado, parting it for a moment before it reforms. The tornado responds by spinning faster for a moment before launching Club high into the air.

"Oh, that's... bad..." Katie says, looking up.

"Yeah, maybe try magic or something," Farmer says. She tosses a seed into the ground.

Katie charges at the tornado monster. "Well I don't know how to use magic, so I guess I'll just have to hit it even hardAAAAAHHHH!" Katie shrieks as she gets launched into the sky.

The Farmer grimaces. "We... do not have a good team for fighting this monster, huh..." She snaps and the seed she planted bursts out of the ground, immediately firing a seed pod at the tornado.

Club comes falling back down, landing awkwardly a few yards away. "...Ow..." they groan.

You begin slinging orbs of fire at the tornado. Some burst on impact, but a few swing around inside the monster before exploding. The wind begins to waver, shaking at the magic impacts.

Club tries picking up a rock and smashing it with their club to launch at the tornado. It goes flying through, leaving a gap in the winds for a moment.

Katie comes falling back down, changing into an eagle as she falls.  She flips around and starts hovering before she crashes.  "Ha!  You can't throw a bird, duh!"

The tornado swings over some rocks and dirt, flinging them violently through you all.

You try dancing again.  The tornado begins exploding and collapses, leaving behind some scraps of what feel like wind, which you manage to pick up.

"Well, that's... uh, weird," Club says.  "But I guess it's fine with how weird Otherworld stuff is sometimes?"

"Oh, that's some high-quality stuff," the farmer says.

"Um?" Katie says.  "More monsters!"

"That's a lot of zombies..." Club says.  "And... ghosts?  Spooky!"

"They're not actually ghosts," Farmer says.  "...Probably."

More creatures come shambling your way, breaking through the other group. You're attacked by a pair of zombies, a zombie on fire, a pale specter, and a flaming ghost.

Floyd

A swam of rats appear and charge back at the zombies and ghosts.  They slip right through the ghosts and start attacking one of the zombies.  None of the monsters seem to particularly care about the vermin, other than the one being bitten.  The zombie flails, swiping downward at them.

"Leave them alone!" Katie yells, leaping at the zombie and slashing its chest with her claws.  The other zombie walks up behind her, wraps its arms around her shoulders, and bites her.  She yelps and twists away.

The flaming zombie starts moving to attack her, too.  Club gets in the way, slamming the monster in the side of the head.  "I'll handle this one," they say.  "Since your fur would get singed.  And those ghosts look spooky."  The flaming zombie breaths in and exhales a burst of fire.  Club is unphased.

As usual, Farmer tosses a few seeds into the dirt.

The ghost flies through her, and she shudders.

The flaming specter charges at you, burning brighter.  It plows through you, burning.  It hurts, even with your key.

Floyd

You cast a wall of powdery, icy snow towards the fiery ghost.  Its flames flicker and dim for a moment before it reignites itself with a shriek.  The screaming echoes throughout the area, and it becomes hard to hear anything else.  Just screaming.

Club moves past the flaming zombie to smash the one that bit Katie.  Katie joins in, ripping one of its arms off with her claws before kicking it over as it falls to dust.  The other zombie flails wildly, slapping Club in the arm.

You think the farmer says something, but you can't make it out.  A plant sprouts from the ground and shoots a spine at the offending ghost.  The flaming zombie takes advantage of her distraction to latch onto her from behind, holding Farmer in a big hug and lifting off the ground enough that she struggles to break free.

Floyd

You open fire on the screaming zombie. While you shoot at it, the farmer's plant does, too. The farmer sneaks up behind it and stabs it with her pitchfork, hoisting it into the air and throwing it back down as it bursts into flames and explodes in her face. It sends her flying back, stunned for a moment before she starts to get back up. Your hearing starts to return, slowly.

When you look up, Katie and Club have already finished dismantling the other zombie.

The flaming ghost dims for a moment, then bursts with flames in all directions, glowing hotter and brighter. It hurts just to be this close to it.
